Anybody remember the 80s movie Wraith? You know the awesome black car that toasted everyone? Well, I saw the movie last night on cable, and I would put a lot of $$$ on the guess that the "Wraith" car was a customized Fiero. Same height, width, same door panels as "89" GT, engine in back....shoot; even the nose looks like a Fiero with aground effects package. What do you guys think?

There was a previous thread about this. That car is a Chrysler turbo interceptor. I dont know what powerplant(im guessing a 2.2 turbo from the year) or even the actual engine location in the real car, even though in the movie the decklid opened which exposed the mysterious engine.
Where is this "so called" thread? Besides, the rear engine was misleading. If this Chrysler interceptor whatsit looks like that, maybe I should change ranks..... j/k As far as the $$$, seeing as its not a Fiero, I will have to spend it trying to modify mine to match.LOL If you can find me a stronger tranny for my car at a decent price, you can have my 5 speed

I dont know 87 I like was thinking that, that car was a fiero and was told by the guys at this forum sorry man its no fiero! do a search on my name and the thread should come up .ps good luck Eddie
Hey man I saw that movie the other night I think it was on, wednesday night. And yes all theese otheres are right its a "turbo interceptor" by chrystler. And according to Charlie Sheen its the only one in existance. Alsoo if you look close you can see the chrystler logo on the nose (right about where the fiero's is). And I was also curious so I watched all the credits and at the end they give props to chrystler for donating "the turbo interceptor". Just my .02, but hey I thought it was a fiero kit too but then I started noticing the eblem on the front, and watched the credits. but I read an article in one of the kit cars that was talking about kits in movies, you rember that bad ace ferrari nick Cage tears up on the streets of san fran in the rick, well you guessed it it was a fiero kit!

These new versions are being built 15 miles from my place. The only Fiero part that is being used in the final product is the cockpit. It has a tube frame and a mid-engine Northstar w/ Corvette axles/brakes. They are going to produce a 'turbo-interceptor' model w/ a twin-turbo northstar 550hp. The first run should be finished by late-spring and I'll post some pics. It will cool to know that one of my defunct Fieros is inside of an awesome $60,000 specialty car. The owners of the company 'US EXOTICS' are really great guys too and like Fieros as they are also! SXM.
I always loved this movie as a kid, and it was on tv about a month ago, so i taped it. At the end of the movie, they show the movie is dedicated to Bruce Ingram, i was wondering who he is.
