Here is some pics of the GT wheels I refinished and put on my car. (pics would have been better if it was sunny today) The tires are 225/50HR15's BFGoodrich Euro T/A's. A special thanks to Rodney for the center caps!
The black is Krylon "Rust Tough" paint in High Gloss Black. Then coated with Duplicolor Clear Urethane Wheel Paint. The wheels took about 4 hours per wheel to complete. That includes stripping, sanding then polishing the entire wheel.

That looks great! I may be wrong but I'm guessing your car is lowered. What kind of springs did you use and why did you choose 225's instead of the 245's you had mentioned in some earlier posts.

I used Eibach springs, KYB shocks and struts, KONI sway bars, and Urethane bushings. The car is lowered approx. 1.5". I went with the 225's because the 245's were too wide for a 7" wheel. I also wanted the lower sidewall (4.4" with 225, 5.1" with 245)

87PegasusGT ~ The 245/50HR15 will fit on a 7" rim But 7" is the minimum rim width and the tire will stick out 1 1/2" past the edges of the wheel. (inside edge and outside edge) This will decrease handling during hard cornering. So in a hard turn the tire will roll under a bit. I had to get the 225's because I tighten/lowered the suspension which pushes the tire more. If your car has the stock suspension 245's will be OK. If it's lowered and stiffened the 245's will rub slightly (when turned lock to lock) and roll under. It basically boils down to application. If you plan on lots of hard cornering go with the 225's If you want the wider tires for looks and do normal daily driving the 245's will be fine. I guess in my earlier post I should have stated about what I ment by "too wide for a 7" wheel"

As a matter of fact I did notice the low end felt better off the line. (It might be less torque required to turn smaller wheels?) Of course this was just an a$$-O-meter guess. I highly doubt my 0-60 or 1/4 mile times changed. I probably knocked some MPH off my top end though. (smaller tires have higher revs per mile)
