The Kit (KR) is from CK3 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, although I will not recommend this Company to anyone. Their fiberglass is excellent, tech support in the rear is good, building plant is huge....it's just the owner... "more excuses than Carters got pills!!!" BIG Headache! I understand he has a couple of lawsuits against him at the moment. If you purchase from them, be sure to use a credit card, that way, when the product or parts don't appear, the credit card company will reimburse you. Took a year(and alot of run around/headaches) to build. Sandy

Tonker...didn't know of any meeting on the 5th. Unfortunately, I'll be away then. Lou-dias... That's not a fit problem... That's the design, and up close, the design makes the car!!! thanks, Sandy
However, you called it an F40, and it looks more like a Koenig Testarossa. I love Ferraris (wish I had the money for one), but this doesn't look like an F40.

Awesome! I know what makes it look different from the original F-40, it's the front end. This one looks much better IMO. Doesn't look droopy. The headlights look better, too. Nice work!

cowans that is great. I also don't like F40 kits because they look like kits but yours is one of the best I have seen. What about some engine pics? Would love to see that at the Toronto show on September 15th. Let me know if you need info or check the thread in General Fiero Chat. Great job!!

I totally agree with MOVE IT (TI_3VOM) that you have done an excellant job on your Koenig Testarossa.
It is NOT a F40!!
This is a F40 ... notice the difference in the side scoops?
After searching for Koenig Testarossa pictures to link to I find that your car has a custom tail which is a cross between a F40 the the Testarossa.
Here is one of the Koenig Testarossa.
No matter what it is called, it has to be called good looking!!
Paul

GREAT JOB !!!!!!! LOOKS FANTASTIC. Yes being a Ferrari fanatic, it is mostly the Keonig Testarossa. Its got a few nice other body changes like the 355 tail lights. Dont know about the Countach scoops at the quarter window, have to see it. That gap on the front fender in front of the door is there to vent the air trapped under the front and in wheelwells at high speeds. That sidescoop looks a lot better that the Testarossa with all the strakes (too busy). I like it. If its an automatic.....wanna trade
just curious did the manufacturer call this a F-40 kit. Im sure they made the changes to the body to avoid lawsuits by Ferrari, since its really not like any production model exactly.

heh!heh!heh! Congrats to those of you who correctly identified my "Konig Testerossa"! I simply call it an F40 because most people identify a Testerossa with the "side slats". CK3 calls it their "KR", perhaps for "Konig Rossa" thanks for viewing and your replies, Sandy

Don't let the round tailights fool you, those were standard on the 512M of which several Koenigs were made. I've yet to a see a CK3 kit up close but based on your pics, your car looks very very accurate.
Roger, those "Countach" scoops are actually supposed to be there. On an authentic Koenig they aren't as boxy (CK3 goofed a little there) but that is how Koenig designed them.
You've done a great job Cowans. Enjoy that car and definitely show it off!
Cheers, dman

The headlights are clever, though the whole front ends up a touch less "exotic" than the real thing. Also, on the F40 at least, the rear is different (much more "mesh" where you can see that the vechicle is very much a 'no frills' race car underneeth that red fairing :)
I think we're ALL Ferrari nuts here (I mean let's face it, if any of us had $500,000 of space change, we'd be posting to a Ferrari board right now...)
Way cool, I hope it's not an automatic (sacralige! :)
Best! Ben.
