There was a movie on the WGN network thursday night at 8 thats called "The Wraith". It has Dennis Quaid and Charlie Sheen in it and its about street racers. And there is this phantom car that goes around getting revenge for his death caused by the gang. Anyway to the Fiero, this phantom car is very similar to that 89 prototype especially in the front. It has a mid mounted engine and even that little scoop on the side in the door. its not exact of course but its really close. If youve seen the movie, say what you think or watch for it or got rent it! Mike Gangrenefiero

I have a copy of that movie. It was actually pretty good if you ignore the 80's cheese. The car is actually a dodge prototype (if I'm correct) if not then I'm sure someone will correct me. But ya, it does resemble the '89 fiero. Come to think of it, I think this was brought up before.

Yeah, thats an awesome show. The car in that is a Dodge Turbo Interceptor. If you look closely you can see the dodge logo on the front of the car, and it mentions the company at the end of the credit. There was a fellow who was attempting to do a kit for the Fiero however, do a search on the forum and you should be able to find a link.

That was Randy Quaid, not Dennis, and the Turbo Interceptor in the movie is the old Dodge PPG Pacecar. You can notice the Chrysler Pentastar emblem on the nose in some of the race scenes.
And Sherlyn Fenn looks YUMMY!

The 'Turbo Interceptor' used in 'The Wraith' was actually the Dodge/Chrysler-built PPG (Pittsburgh Paint & Glass) Pace Car. There were six copies of the car that were built for the movie. The car was rear-wheel-drive, power by a 2.2L Cosworth twin-intercooled-turbocharged dohc in-line four putting out a supposed 440 horsepower, and the original car cost $1.5 million.
