Has anyone tried this type of wing before? If so what did it look like? I like the 80's mustang(saleen)and was wondering what it would look like on a fiero.

It would look really good on a fastback, but it is too wide. A friend has a mustang convertable and we measured his Saleen wing and it will not fit the fastback lid. I have considered buying one, cutting a section out of the middle and glassing it back together, but some projects are just more important right now.

coupe or gt? i have the '80s style one on my '87 coupe. look for one for a coupe/conv. 'cause the hatchback one will be tilted maybe too much.

there's a pic of a coupe with one here. search in the general chat section with headlight in the title (what the thread was really about). it's a yellow coupe with sunbird headlights and flames painted on.

Did somebody say my name? Here a few of mine. Crappy pics and the wing is now totally black and looks better.

Hey Saleen, why didn't I ever see that Fiero? I lived in Medicine Hat for 2 years and just moved to Calgary 10 months ago. I've had my baby for almost 2 years now, and thought I'd seen all the ones in Medicine Hat. Mine was one of the 2 gold ones. The better one.

Brandon: Well I was always around somewhere driving. I'm thinking I remember your car. Did you have a wing on yours?

Everyone: The Saleen wing really give the fiero a neat silhouette. Sort of a raked appearance on the coupes. And like I said, mine was a dead on fit on the decklid.

saleen's right. mine came while i was at work and i saw it in the morning. placed it on the lid and didn't really have to do any finagling to get it to fit. i drilled holes and had it on in about 1/2 hour.

i'm putting an f40 mustang wing on another fiero and it fits almost the same. maybe i'll put a new style saleen wing on my gt just for the fun of having mustang wing on all my fiero's (except the indy).

Saleen - No wing, luggage rack. The one other gold one is a coupe (84, maybe 85) with the plastic black rear bumpers, and is a 2m4. At least, that's the only other gold one I've seen there. I go back every couple months, 'cause my family's still there. You'll see me around I'm sure.

Maybe I haven't seen yours. If it matters, there's an 86SE in town with a wing and the V6 and then a chewed up gold parts car too around here. I actually just sole my car so I won't be driving it, but it is still in town.

Look for a 1994-1998 saleen S351 style wing, the shape is almost like that of a stock fiero gt wing, but the trailing edge curves up more, and wraps around to the pointing edges. I saw one tonight at the local carwash, and compared it to mine. I think it would look great. I found a pic, but it isnt very good, just search around the net, and I bet you can find a better pic than me.

If anyone still cares, here's some marginally better pictures of my saleen fiero. Pics still bite, but at least the show the wing better
