We all have some rare Fiero items. You know - items that people can't believe even exist. What's yours? Below I've posted a few of mine to get people started.
1989 Fiero Emblems, still on paper backing from GM Design Studio in MI
1984 Indy Pit Badges, both brass and platinum colors
1984 Indy Pace Car license plate, from one of the promotional cars driven before the Indy race

NO talking about the actual cars - we know how rare those are (88 Yellow Formula - 1 of 437) .. damn! You've got me doing it now! Here's another that Ray says is rare. It's an '87 Horsman. It's as ugly as sin! It looks like someone stepped on it, but it's rare nonetheless.

I've got a set of factory wheel locks that came with my 88 Formula. The cool part is, they're still sealed in the original bag.
You should have seen the scene as I pick them up when showing LZeitgeist my new car... "Hmm, what are these?" I say, as I start to tear open the bag to look....
Pat just about tackled me to keep me from opening the bag. That was a comical moment.

I know, That was a sad pic to see it had t-tops too

The emblems came from a guy that found them in the desk he was assigned at the Design Center in MI. He basically stole them and placed them on eBay, and the rest is history. I'd love to have a set of the GTP ones. But alas, I think both of us have a better chance of getting the luggage - as rare as it is - for ourselves.
I have a set of titanium sway bar links that were built for the 1989 Fiero coming. (Pictures will be online once they arrive) Now, if I could just get one of the 4 original 1989 prototypes ...
Hey Eric, I remember those emblems. I hate to break it to you but I am pretty sure they are phony. I remember I was bidding on them and they went up to like 90 dollars. I was thinking why I am paying that much for stickers so I retracted my bid (only bid retraction btw) only for him to email me saying I ruined his auction and blah blah blah. Well he figured out that your highest bid was like 89 or something so he got a friend to bid 88 to get the price back up. Then he emailed me saying "Haha I got some other sucker to buy it!" So I dunno but it would be tough to prove the authenticity.
The rarest thing I have literature wise is this dealer folder thing. It came in an envelope marked "Personal and Confidential" and it is a red book advertising the new 84 Fiero. It was allegedly the first thing mailed to the VIPs and Nat'l dealerships. I will post some pics soon.
Here is one.

I don't have anything rare Fiero-related.. bummer!
But I do think the 89 stickers are cool, phony or not.. And I also thought about buying one of the pit badges and one of the Indy tags to go with my pace car but the prices always go higher than I want to pay.
I know these are rare but I don't know how rare. I have seen one other set. These are original Mecham funtional side scoops. I was told they were made from the orginal Pontiac mold and are made of urethane like the rest of the side body panels. I was also told they were used by the Mecham racing team in the 80s. They fit perfectly and needed absolutly no body work. All surfaces inside and out were great. If anyone knows more about them I would appreciate hearing more about them. (I am sure someone will ask where I got them. I bought them from Rockcrawl. Thanks Rockcrawl)

As a side note, Joe Wynman has a large collection of super rare Fiero stuff. A ton of '89 items in particular. I am betting thats where Eric got his '89 stuff from.

First is a brand new set of real Mecham side scoops.....the urethane ones like Skitime mentioned.
Here is a brand new '88 tan 5-sp. shifter console.
To compliment the new shifter console, here's a brand new '88 tan leather manual shift knob. I think this is "super rare"...I have not seen another one (that wasn't already on a car).

When I bought my first fiero from a former Pontiac executive, as I was about to drive away, he said "wait". Came back a few minutes later with a trunk full of misc. stuff that he collected while at Pontiac. One of the items was a limited edition print called: Fiero at Watkins Glen. Ray Paulk is the only other person I know that has one!! He got his used to hang in John Deloreans office (or something like that).
I have a little red Fiero cooler. And a small remote controlled red Fiero like the one at the top of this thread, but it is missing the wiring and control

haha They are rare to find in groups of less than one. I was at a yard today that had at least 6 white 84s. No GTs darn. Now if you want rare how about a 88 GT with beechwood interior in a yard. Pondski, Fleabitdog and I have not seen one yet.
I have the "Pontiac Performance Plus" Magazine sold thru the dealerships. (Bought it back in 1986 when I bought my first car)
I have a 22" X 16" poster of an Indy Pace car that I got at a mall way back then too. I haven't seen any like that in about 6-7 years. I have it framed and hanging on the wall. Very nice picture!
I have one of the Pontiac Indy Race Team Jackets from the 1984 Indy 500. The ballcap that was free with the purchase of the jacket is now in someones Indy Pace car!
Finally, I have 2 8"X10" photo's of an IMSA Fiero racing around a corner and the IMSA GTP Entac Fiero in the pits. These photo's were taken by a photographer at the race in 1987. He and I are the only ones with the pics!

I have one of those pics too. Mines #404/2000. I picked mine up over ebay for $10. What a steal. Edges were a little rough but the matting conceals that. Looks great on the wall. I also have the original 8-1/2"x11" pencil sketch drawings of 5 fieros. Just gotta dig them out of the file cabinet.

Doesn't sound like the same guy. We had a long talk about these emblems, and the guy used names that only people on the inside would know (I knew the names because I had dealt with them during my years working closely with Oldsmobile and their Rocket Parts division, as well as the lead publisher of the Performance Catalog).
Also, I use the term "emblems", not decals. These are a rubberized type of emblem (much like the front fascia emblem, but without the black plastic retainer) - very flexible, with adhesive on one side. The picture doesn't do it justice. The colors are absolutely stunning!

I'm positive its the same guy. I remember the auction like it was yesterday. It was my only bid retraction, cause I remember thinking why the hell am I paying this much for stickers and retracted. I mean no big deal they look cool but its impossible to authenticate them.

Sounds to me like they're *not* just stickers, though - they sound like they're the same as the current nose badge emblems - embossed behind a domed piece of clear acrylic, which would make them nearly impossible to duplicate outside of a factory setting (or at least, stupidly expensive to only make a couple of them)...
I see no reason from the pic up there to doubt that they're authentic...

Ive seen the 84 Indy plate on eBay in the 200's (The number) But there were only 140 Indys at the track for the event... Also there was a front & back (matching #) plate on each car right?
I also have a "Fiero at Watkins Glen" print. It's #606 of 2000 signed on the white border by Jack Stewart. It is framed with a badge labeled J.M. Losh Award "Partners in Performance" 85 Sales Contest. I don't think its rare but I have a "Ride Pontiac Ride" 88 Fiero large dealership poster. It pictures red GT with gold wheels on a race course. While it's not all Fiero, I picked up a copy of "The Hot Ones" Pontiac High Performance Handbook. The Fiero is the first car listed and shows a silver 88 GT, yellow Formula, pic of the power steering pump, and pic of a 3.0 liter 16 valve 370 hp. Super Duty race engine. Let's see some pics of the fitted luggage!
The silver plaque was issued from Pontiac. It explains the maintenance. The instructions say to mount it under the radio on the housing
Plaque reads:
[Fiero Logo at top] Regular maintenance and proper service are very important for your Fiero. There have been engine fires in some Fieros - fires that have destroyed the cars - because they didn't get proper maintenance and service. Don't let this happen to your Fiero! Please read and follow the special full-color maintenance booklet.
I've got a grey passenger seat that has speaker holes in the headrest, however the seat does not have speakers in it. And I do believe that the seat came from the factory that way.

The offer I made at Ed's (use of the plate for car shows) still stands anytime you want.
