I noticed people have been putting the transam vent's on the front hoods of there fiero's i was wondering if people could post pics of those ones and other cars theve taken them off of,thanks

Got mine off a 86 turbo sunbird. I made a templete and then cut it out of the hood. I tryed to keep it to just the open spot, but had to use hole saw to make 4th hole.

Well.. My scoop is on the way.. Its the same type that Oreif has on his car. (I think mine will be a little larger) I'm throwing it on a silver '85.

where can you get indy scoops, does anyone manufacture them or is it just whtever u find floatin around?

IRM sells them. Do a search for "indy scoop" and you'll find all the info.

Here's some pics of my recently completed hood vent...



Yes, that IS a dash vent grill
I cut the hood with a skill saw with a 24 TPI blade. Used 3M flexible epoxy to hold it all together. I had to trim about 1-1/2" off the lip of the spare tire well. This is a pretty easy mod to do, it's impractical to ship a hood so I don't think it would make a viable product.
I didn't notice any reduction in engine temp., but the grill gets plenty hot after some spirited driving...
