Well, I am happy to report that the factory blue '85SE has been safely removed from the junkyard and is now sitting in my driveway! I didn't think it would happen, but thanks to the understanding owners and managers at the Pull-A-Part company here in Atlanta, this car has survived and WILL BE ROADWORTHY AGAIN! Many thanks to all who contributed to the previous thread, and stay tuned for pics soon.
YOU DA MAN!!!!!! It pleases me to no end when someone saves a Fiero! Escpecially a rare one like that! I agree w/ squoach..must have pics.......how much did you end up paying for it anyway?

Great job! I'm looking forward to pics. Maybe someone at Pontiac Historical Services can help with more info. Too bad Pontiac motor division has turned a deaf ear to all the Fiero enthusiast out there. First they kill the Fiero, then bring out the Aztek, and now sentence the Firebird to death. Thanks Guys! The yard let us have it for a few hundred. Really just a token fee. The yard manager admitted he had less in it than that, but I wasn't about to argue. After all, they aren't in the business of giving stuff away, and they very, very easily could have put the kabosh on the deal many times, to make it easier on themselves. They helped me put my wheels on it, and set it up in the front so my flatbed driver could easily pick it up. I'm their number one fan right now, I'll tell you that! I guess it was just my turn to get lucky. Either that, or this car has about 9 lives (well, 8 now).
Goodnight to everyone in Fieroland, where all the roads and ladies are curvy and fun... (where did that come from? Why, the RunForThe Hills6 event of this weekend, of course! Way to go David Hunter of the Alabama Fieros, this was the best I've been to and one hell of a blast, even if I slept through the doorprize drawing)

That car is now in Huntsville at the Fiero Factory. I saw it there last week. Its damn near stripped down to the bare bones...they're doing a complete restore on it. Should be nice.

Glad to see this ol' thread still has life! As the earlier post mentioned, this little car is now at the Fiero Factory undergoing a complete rebuild. Pictures! I got a few but no scanner. Let me try again to take the roll and get some put on a CD and maybe we can get them posted. If I can get some jpeg files made, how hard is it to get them into the forum?
Thanks,

Pics are easy to post... if you don't feel like taking the time to figure it out right away- send your pic scans to me and I'll clean, size, & post them for you! (rob@xtralite.com)
Thanks for posting those pics for me, MinnGreenGT! Not such a pretty sight, eh boys? Well, when Ed's finished, look out! Don't know what his plans to show it are, but I hope he takes first in the stock category for 1985SEs... I'll try to get some more pics scanned in and to MinnGreenGT tomorrow.
