Hello friends,
if you notice the gray primered area. that is the whole unit to this kit. It is one big piece. I left the rest of the car red, so that you can see where the seperations will be. That is your seperating point. The lens will use 80-82 vette lens. Unless if i can make some deals w/ Ausfiero in the near future. the hole is 5" diameter. As soon as this is all done, i will have one installed on one of my prototype car and Josh's car(JCH82 will have installation manual w/ pics made, LOL). But this has been carefully thought of. This version of taillight kit will go up with the deck lid. It will look something like Grand Prix or Cadillac, etc. Wiring will be up and down with the deck lid. This first version is a bit challenging. It would be good for any handly person. I hope this version will be in demand for those who love the challenges. Prices on this version will be lower than the screw on, 2nd version.
The final version (3rd prototype notchback euro) will be bonded on the the body. Where the deck lid will be left alone. But deck lid cover will have a piece of finishing lip. The 3rd version may be slightly wider. And a new bumper will be in design to accomodate that new taillight. I am hoping to illuminate the black moldings around the car. Let's get the 2002 look at these awesome fieros. AYE? hehehe
thank u y'all.

Hey GTFIERO1,
Your right,If you took say...an 85GT or any of the SE cars, that have the Aero\Indy ground effects and put on the PISA fastback, then the notchback Euro taillights,It would look like the Real fastback, but with it's own unique look. And you wouldn't have to worry about finding the real thing.I'm keeping this in mind.

Of course I will have the installation manual with pics! Anything to help out a friend. An installation manual would definitely help out with sales in my opinion. Especially for those that aren't sure about doing something like this because they think it might be to difficult.

On a side note, when are the Z3 vents coming out? Are they going on the outer sides of the hood scoop or on the top part up front?

**My fav question**
Any pics?

Are these Z3 vents gonna be the kind that are in the fender? Fendervents? I would buy some if they looked good. I also want to get one of those different bumpers you were talking about making.

Ferrari-Momo... is this what you mean by Z3 vents?

If so, that'd be cool!

This photo came from http://www.wholesalehyperformance.com ...they specialize in ricer parts! ...they're charging $125 for a pair.

Too bad vents like these wouldn't be functional. But I must say fender vents would make any car look more aggressive, functional or not.

I think your artistry is unsurpassed. Wonderful! However, I might suggest a less squared off profile. As it now appears, the 'up-down' appearance makes the butt bigger. I suggest blending in a forward angle aabove the tail lights. This will make the Fiero design more lean-foreward. This idea is not meant to be critical, but rather complimentary from one artist to the other. I might also suggest adding a built in spoiler similar to what Chevy did to thier second generatin Comaro.Another thought, how about incorporating C-5 'Vette tailight bezels. From the year view, it will confuse alot of people (for the better).Keep us posted on your project.

Do you have any pics with the Z3 vents installed? Also, how wide are they? The ones in the above picture are like 20 inches with the circle.

ok this is going to sound wierd but it was one of the things i was imagining when archie showed those scoops a week or so ago. what if the roof spoiler incorporated some fi-air-ro type vents? or if the spoiler was about 9-11" wide front to back so some of those scoops archie had might graft onto them?

i can see it but i don't know how well i'm describing it.

i'm imagining it will look like/be similar to the old supra ones or the ones new civic hatchbacks or focuses have. i don't really know what your planning. i just kind of thought of it when i saw the scoops archie had and i was tinking of ways to use them. then seeing your post about the roof wing reminded me of one of my ideas. i just thought i'd throw the idea out there.

All I want to know is how much? Your pics made me realize why the stock notchback is so butt ugly!!!! This mod is the best looking accessory I have ever seen for the notchback!!!!!!! I am not knocking the notchback, I own 3 of them. But I have always liked the fastback better, Until now!!!!!!!!

JB,
if you like this that much. i will consider you as one of my protoman. you and JCH82 josh can work together. at this time, i wont have the price. but the price will be reasonable. i will work with you my friend. yes, i have many notchback fieros. i only drive my fastback. lol but it will all be changed.
To all my dearest fiero friends,
at this moment, the project has come to a stop. it is because i just got laid off from my day time job. The fibersmith do not make that kind of sales to support itself. now, i am not annoucing this to ask you for mercy. just letting you guys know why my projects are coming out slow. this Euro notchback is coming along slowly but surely. i was hoping to get a couple of special tools to help get rid of waves and tight spots. now, it will all be done by hand. fear not, great artists used chissles back in those days. i will just have to sand my life away. lol.
meanwhile, i will have to look for another day time job. so that i can maintain a living and support the fibersmith. please pray for me. thank you people.
love you all!

you know what i'd like (like you need more people throwing their flicted idea at you)? if one of the versions of the coupe tail light still had a place for 3 lights on a side. that way i could still use a sequential light mod. i don't know how cluttered that would look. i measured my vette and the fiero is about 4-5" wider across the rear so it might not be too bad. then maybe change the little square reflectors sitting lower down to back up lights.

Hey Pat, I may be a buyer too. I really like them. I just haven't done much with fiberglass, so I'm not sure how good I'll do. Maybe you could help me out
The SE is looking better. I still need to have the hood painted. The nose will be covered until I get the whole car re-painted next year. Still runs good. No problems with it. Except some annoying interior rattles and stuff.
Anyway, I hope you do well with these. Can't wait to see a painted version.
