Damnit. I thought I responded faster than that. E-mail me or something with more detail. If I go, I'll want to see the prototype. 500 miles is a long-ass drive one way.

Ok everybody - just got off the phone with Anastasia ( manager of all exhibits ).....
" You can bring AS MANY people as you want - but only 35 people will be allowed in the vault at once."
What this means is that 35 people with the most advanced photography and video equipment should be the ones in that vault.
For all those that are in the area - HOLD OFF!!!! ... we can schedule another tour at anytime as this car will not be leaving...
So lets start over... A new RSVP list only with people who will not have another chance to see this car -
I want this 35 to be forum go'ers that arte out of the area that have this one oppurtunity to see this car
but right now, I want to reserve 10 people out of the 35 to specificly be the recon personnel - this means 10 people from the forum whos mission is to photograph this car as if it is thier sole purpose in life - and that can bring any and all media recording equipmemnt
That leaves 25 people from the forum to RSVP - minus the 10 that have RSVP'd....
Al Sanchez Aaron Martin Mike Roseman Steve Normington Andrew Pederson Rob Debrowski Eric Schneck David Gamache Jacob Bigelow Ken Halleck
I would like to ask that those who made an RSVP to not include your guest into the vault as this means more people from the forum can see the car. Your guest or guests can browse the various multi million dollar and priceless exhibits through-out the multi million square foot museum while you see the 89-90 Fiero. They can also visit ( according to Anastasia ) the actual Indy Fiero that ran the pace laps at indy.
This leaves 15 more people from the forum as general viewers and 10 people as recon - 25 people
To those name listed above - your RSVP has already been made..
I will only accept phoned RSVP as thier are too many emails for me to get back to about this event - the RSVP list begins now.........

Eric, here is the noble thing to do in regards to this dilema. 10 individuals to immortalize this event with camera's etc, and the rest of the spots only for those that are travelling major distances to see this car. Local folk like myself can hold off, since we can always schedule another visit somewhat easily....do U agree?? Your thoughts....

We can bring as many people as we want - but only 35 will be allowed to go into the vault - this is the automotive equivalent to Fort Knox. I have Talked to the manager of Paradise Cove ( restaurant that many may recognize from many films and tv shows, i.e. 90210 and Saved by the Bell ) which is located in Malibu, right on the sand. There is room there for 200+ cars and I will get a response from them tomorrow whether or not it is a yes or a no. It will be a tire-kicker, not a trophied car show.
I'm a little disappointed, but if he says another veiwing will be set up later, then I will accept that and may just go to work that day.
Once again, I stress that only people hundreds if not thousands of miles away are the only ones to RSVP as they may not have another oppurtunity to see this car. For those of us who are within driving or roadtrip distance, we can make another reservation at anytime
WCF, Let us know what the whole day's plans are so I can make arrangements if I go. I say let archie or another major name go too!!
There will be a scheduled itenerary with all waypoints listed. It will include the number of the museum, restaraunt, and cell numbers for those hosting the event.
Each person ( I STRESS ) needs to bring a cell phone for constant and continuos information updates as many of you may not be familiar with the area. It is my advice that each car designates a "buddy" so that if some one should get lost, they will not be alone.
There will be 35 ( no more, no less ) VAULT passes/badges that will designate who will see the car - if you do not have a camera with you when seeing this car, I am quite certain the Fiero community will stone you
For the rest of us who will not be in the vault, we have given a tour of the entire multi-million square foot complex specifically for us.
this is a tentitive schedule and is subject to change before the show:
Saturday, March 2nd, 2002
6:00-8:30am - Meet at West Coast Fiero,
8:30am - leave for Peterson Museum
9:30-9:45am - Arrive at Peterson Museum
10:00am - Private vault showing begins for 89-90 Fiero, 35 selected people attend - meantime the rest of the group tours the museum privately or with the tour guide
11:00am - end of private showing, meet up with lucky ones, continue exploring museum
1:30pm - Leave for lunch at Paradise Cove
2:00-2:15pm - Arrive at Paradise Cove - eat
3:30-4:00pm - Mix and Mingle on the beaches of Malibu at Paradise Cove while viewing and appreciating all participating Fieros
after this it is up to the individual whether or not they would like to come back with the hosts to West Coast Fiero for a second tire kicker (beer fest) at the shop and get to know the people of Fieros West and West Coast Fiero

I hope everyone realizes that this is a "prototype". This does not mean that it is an "actual" car. Has any one seen that orange GTO prototype that Pontiac released last year? I did and it was made or plastic and cardboard. The tires even had "For Display Only" molded in the rubber/plastic. And there was no interior. The windows were just black plexiglass.
In otherwords, pictures can be deceiving. But, it is something to see.

I highly doubt that the Peterson Automotive Museum would keep a rolling sales pitch in a highly secure vault next to multi-million dollar one of a kind cars - just my thoughts

Hey, Eric. I have a digital camera with extra memory chips. I can take 270 pix at 640 x 480. I plan to take a lot of closeups and detail pix.
I'd suggest some kind of organization of the picture taking. Otherwise, we'll all be bumping into eachother, falling over eachother and getting in eachother's shots.

You aren't really serious about taking 640x480 are you? We'll have plenty of quantity, we need QUALITY..big shots, high pixel count
Like Haze, I'll have several mb of web space to dedicate to this if need be. I have a website I'm not using yet, and I could host photos for other peoples pages that have a limit on bandwidth (like geocities and angelfire).

This is Andrew Pedersen. I don't even have a camera so I will give up my car viewing spot to someone that does. Also I live about 2 hours away from L.A. so I will be able to make it another time. I'm still gonna check out the museum though and I believe it would be extremely rude to turn down beer.

I would say yes, if you don't hear from them by Monday (the 18th) then you should open up their spot to someone else. We want to make sure that no one misses out due to no-shows. You might want to PM or email them on Friday just to make sure.
