I wanted to buy some parts from the wrecked GT and e-mailed sean before this post got started. He returned my e-mail last night. I told him I would have to pass on the parts till fastback87's wing was recieved. I just recieved an e-mail from him saying " the wing was sent yesterday to an address that he had before he contacted fastback87 last night" He then said I should e-mail fastback87 to verify this. It was implied that it was sent to fastback87s old address. Thats if he has an old one. I fowarded the whole e-mail to him. I'm sorry but this whole thing is getting waaaay strange.

Personally, I would not buy anything from him at all... ever. It seems to me that he has a problem with honoring a deal. The Spoiler should have been shipped out three months ago. When doing business over the internet, a persons word is all that we have. The deal is usually, "once I recieve the cash, I will send the parts". If you violate the trust, once, then all bets are off, I will never deal with you. Sean violate the trust in honest dealing three months ago. If I were in your position, I would look elsewhere for whatever it was you were planning on buying from him. You could find yourself in fastbacks position in a few months.

I did ship his spoiler out today, I sent fastback the tracking number, I will leave it up to him to post here now to let everyone know that I indeed sent it to him. I asked Sean the other day what fastback's address was, before I had recieved his email with his apperently new address, and sean gave me his old address that was given to him in december, so I made out the shipping lable and gave it to him.

On the post from ProudGT or whatever his name is. I didn't bother to read it all, but this accident is not being pursued in court for several reason. For one thing, the other vehical involved was driveing without insurance for quite some time, and was issued a citation for that at the scean of the accident. However when attempts were made to contact her, there was no reaponse, and it is obvious she has skipped town to avoid the problems. It's also not being followed up becuase it was both vehicals faults. She was at fault for turning from the middle lane, We were at fault for speeding, either way, nobody wins. Police report also says she had near the limit, but still under, the legal limit of BAC.

The Fiero engine wasn't really anything special. The turbo was purchased from a local who needed money and had a grand national parts car in his back yard so he sold the turbo. The NOS kit Sean bought from me, off my Dodge Daytona.

Also, I may have come across giveing the impression that we all out beat the piss out of the 3000GT. We didn't at all. He smoked us brutally off the line everytime, but the last time we raced we took off from a 80mph roll on, and we were pretty even till about 120-130 when the Fiero started pulling on him. I believe Sean's fiero only ran 14.2 on a good day this summer, and we never dyno'd it.

I think we both leaned a life lesson about this whole raceing thing. The closest track to us is in Kearney, NE, about 90 miles away. Which isn't a bad drive once in a while, but you can't do it everytime you want to race someone. We race on a road north of town most of the time, where there is no traffic or obsticals. I will definatly never race on the streets of town again after being through this. It was without question the scariest thing I'v ever been through. I'm sure we both got alot smarter over this ordeal, and won't have to worry about this ever happeneing again.

In one breath, you nearly convinced me that this was a horrible experience, but then I remembered an earlier post.

When I remembered how excited you sounded while describing how the race evolved, and what happened in the accident, you ended with this remark.

I'm still checking on records found in a search of a Fiero accident reported in Lincoln County Nebraska. Appears a Grey 1986 Fiero was involved in a SINGLE vehicle accident there last Fall.
This was after the accident Sean had on July 15, 2001.

I was in an accident with a black '88 GT in North Platte, NE, but it was in April or May 2000.

I haven't been back since!

hours. Sorry about all this.

Think everything is going to work out just fine for you fastback87.
My contacts in Nebraska informed me this morning that there was indeed an accident. The Investigator's report remains open at a local level and would account for the fact the State Police had no record on my original inquiry.
As strange as it sounded when originally posted by Fieros4life2002, the details of the accident agree in almost all respects with the preliminary report by the investigating officer.
After authorities became aware yesterday of additional information leading up to, and indirectly contributing to the accident, they questioned the owner of a 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT. They will not provide any details of this addition to the Report until completed. They are now trying to locate the driver and owner of the other vehicle involved for additional investigation requirements.
Think things are also going to work out well for the driver of the other vehicle.

So would it be possible for me to drive out to N platte and see his turbo install? Or how about some pictures?

As everyone will recall back when Seanh joined the forum he claimed to have a twin turbo V-6. Then he tells us he was lying?? WTF!!! Now his friend is claiming a turbo plus Nitrous???? I'll believe it when I see it.

I'm not saying there wasen't an accident, just no turbo+ N2O.

hehe...
I remember something about a northstar, I heard talk about a turbo iron duke at one point. Then it bounced between 3.1-3.4 and sometimes a turbo would be in somewhere. Never heard the NOS part until this thread.

He has to be the biggest BSer on this forum. He most likely has a stock 2.8...

If he really is in the hospital, hope he gets well soon.

As late as 28 Nov, he was trying to sell his car in the Mall. It had a 3.1 then. No mention of a turbo or NOS.

I did get the spoiler yesterday but wasn't at home so it was locked up in the office until this morning. I opened the box and the spoiler was in there and looked great....ONLY ONE PROBLEM....It was supposed to have both stands and all I needed was a couple of studs to hold it on the car....It has only one stand...WTF am I supposed to do now??? It looks like I will have to find that guy that makes the after market ones. I wanted it to be stock.

new stands from this guy https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum4/HTML/007010.html

for 90 bucks. The spoiler was supposed to have them and now I have to pay $90 for new ones...I DON'T THINK SO.

Does anyone have a stand or a pair of stock ones that you would be interested in selling???
