Ok, so I started this project that should have taken a weekend about a month ago. I can only work on it on the weekends, and because of weather, visitors, and me having the flu. I haven't been able to get it done. I just started to work on it again about 2 hours ago, finally got time. I decided to take a few pictures. This is what I have done so far. It is a huge mess, but you should have seen it before. I am not very crafty, and when I screw something up, I really screw it up. It always ends up working out in the end though thank god! : )
THIS IS MY CD DECK, PIONEER PREMIER
THIS IS THE SUB I HAD FROM MY PREVIOUS INSTALL IN THE FIERO
AND THIS IS THE AMP I WAS RUNNING
THIS IS WHERE IT STARTS TO GET BAD, THATS EXPANDING FOAM, I NEED TO CUT SOME OF IT AWAY, AS YOU CAN SEE I MADE SURE THAT IT SEALED. THIS IS THE DRIVERS SIDE.
ONCE AGAIN... BAD, THESE NEXT FEW ARE ALL JUST A MESS... FOR NOW

Hrmmmm, well I guess no one cares. Oh well, if anyone is actually reading this and just not posting, I just cut out the frame and attachted the brakets to the firewall. As soon as the glue dries a little I will attach the frame of the box. I cut it out to 1' cubed, I am not sure how much the gap in the firewall will add but I am guessing about .125 cubic feet or so. The box whould be made to 1.25 cubic inch as far as I remember. It would be normally 1 cubic foot but I am porting it with a 2 inch port. The bats are charging for my digital camera right now, when it is done I will take a few more pics. I am respecting Fierosounds install more and more as I do this. I just can't wait to finish. I will be so happy.

Lookin good, alot of work to go though. From what I understand you are going ported enclosrue?? If you go sealed you can make a smaller enclosure. Your woofer appears to be built similar to mine(Mobil Authority t1070). In a sealed enclosure my woofer calls for .6-1cu.ft. I set mine to .71 and used about 40% polyfill. I'm planning on cutting a nice round hole for the woofer magnet sometime and thinning my enclosure(trapazoid-ish, 6"out on bottom tapering to 3 1/4 on top, 17" rear wall,21" front wall, 18" wide) I trimmed the rear trim board and removed the carpet behind the enclosre. If I raise the enclosre height and make the hole I'd be able to thin to 4" on bottom and 1" on top increasing back wall height to approx. 24-26" and the front wall accordingly. It would be a nicer(read:roomier)solution. Coupled with moving my amp and cap to the underhood I could get my interior back.
I have a total of 13 speakers in my car--overkill---definately, but it sounds increadable and I have very good staging and stereo seperation. I still have alot of work to do (going back to change/move a couple drivers etc.)
BLah, BLah, BLah.

I had a friend to the math for the cubic feet and I did not double check till last night. I am actually getting .84, then with the firewall cut out im hoping to have about .97 or so. So I will not port it. This is almost perfect size for sealed.
Not much has changed, I have done a lot of fitting and cutting for the frame. When I get it on, and clean up the foam a little I will take more pics.
THis whole thing is making me mad, it seems whenever I get a chance to work on it, the weather really sucks, or something else comes up. I havent been out there all day. I hope to get a start right away.
The box with the 2 sonys is pretty big. It is basically 2 1.5 cubic feet boxes. I built it with a friend who used to work at FutureShop doing installs. It is slotted and fit together with clue and wood nails. No need for screws because of the slot. The carpeting is really nice as well. Its a greyish around most of it, and the 2 sides are black. Fits 2 12's. Im selling the box for 100 bucks, and the 2 subs for 100 as well, So 200 all together. Canadian dollars.

I little update from last night. No pics of the drivers side. Mainly cosmetics done to it, and a few brackets attachted. It was hard to take a picture with a good angle with the seat in there so I didnt bother.
I WILL BE PUTTING THESE IN, THEY ARE 120w Clarions. I love em. THE SONYS WILL BE GOING IN AS WELL. THEY ARE 100w. NOT SURE WHERE YET THOUGH. THEY ARE ALL 5 1/4
THE AMP WILL BE RUNNING THE BACK SPEAKERS. IT WILL BE MOUNTED, AND SUNKEN IN, BEHIND THE DRIVERS SIDE.
THATS ALL FOR NOW. WILL BE DOING MORE ON WED.
