For some reason I don't like fastbacks with a sunroof. I like sunroofs allot, so its a tie for me. I wouldn't let fastback or notchback be a factor in buying a fiero.

The question that just won't die.

This debate resurfaces about every 6 weeks.

I don't understand why. Everybody knows that winged fastbacks are the only way to go.

I've owned both. I like the coupe with the wing, 85 GT or Formula's, or the fast with or w/o the wing.

I prefer fastbacks but the notchbacks have better rear visibility.

I prefer "Aero bodies". So 84 Indy, 85GT, 86SE, 86-88GT. I'm just not fan of the coupe noses... I do think the fastback looks a bit more exotic too!

with minor "revisions"

Well I use to own a 1986 SE 2M6 (notchback) and I currenly have a 1987 GT fastback. I love both styles

I like the sleekness and tail lights of the fastback. I like the euro look of the notchback (it looks more euro to me in the rear).

If I were to choose I would probably keep the fastback they look more modern.

I like the well preserved ones. I'll drool over a well kept 84 economy coupe more then a crusty 88 GT with T Tops.

I always liked the notchbacks. When the new fascias came out in 87, I fell in love. When I saw the 88 Formulas, that was IT! THAT was the perfect Fiero. It was the car that was closest to the original vision GM had for the car, with the suspension they wanted.

I never cared a lot for the aero nose, but I like fastbacks. They've since grown on me, though. Now I want an 88 GT.

Let a middle age crazy Fiero nut tell you one important thing. Quit caring what others think of your car. Return it to showroom, customize it, drop it, raise it, chop the top, drop the top. Paint it with pokadots, green on blue....DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO! I have a Fiero that is worth, to the public, 25% of what I have invested in $ alone, not counting time. It is worth 10 times that investment to me. Make yourself happy, you will never make everyone else.

This age-old debate is like that eternal question bothering mankind: Blonde or Brunette? They're both beautiful and a matter of personal taste.

They both kick major arse! I can't even compare.. if you were to give me a GT/coupe it'd be a tough battle.. but since I already own a coupe I'd say GT to complete my collection no contest

I love them both. But Ill take the coupe. Part of my reasoning is that the coupe was the first body style.
