What is the difference between a Fiero Coupe and a Fiero Sport Coupe? I see it listed on some places on the net. And if it asks me for what mine is, I never know what to put. I have an '86 2M4, what does that make my car?

My Understanding is this:

1984 - 1986 Body Styles (coupe) are the Coupe. Now, if you get THAT body style with a V6 in it (85-86) options, then you have an SC

If you have an Aero Notchback, REGARDLESS of motor, its an SE (exception is the 85 and Indy).

And then the GT's are the 85 GT, and any fastback.

Hope that clarifies.

I'm not sure of the correct answer, but my first Fiero was an '86 SC. It was the generic, black bumper notchback but it had the Iron Duke.

I did a carfax and I have the 87 GT and it says the body style is a coupe. So do they call all body styles coupe unless they are a sports coupe?

As I understand it, SC's have one of the stiffer suspensions as a standard part of the build. Not much I've noticed beyond that. (Mine is an 87SC)

The term "coupe" is generic. It means that the car has 2 doors. Doesn't matter if it's a 2 door Lincoln or a 2 door Yugo. My first Fiero ('86 SC) was just about as generic as Fieros get. The only options it had were tilt, A/C and a slush box.

I had an 84 SC... I think the difference between coupe and sc is that sc has like absolutly no options.. heh

I'm still confused. I have some good options on my car like Sunroof, tilt, power windows...so does that make mine a sport coupe?

Ogre was right - If you wanted the WS6 package and 14" Hi Tech wheels they branded the car a Sport Coupe. My black SC had some good options like rear defrost, AC and power windows, but not cruise, power locks, or remote decklid release.

I have an 84 Sport Coupe. The difference is just an option package. 4.10 drive ratio, tilt, better suspension, better wheels, AC, better stereo, stuff like that. I think if it wasn't a Sport Coupe, SE, or GT, then it had no options, unless the buyer picked a few ala carte.

Look at your VIN in the 5th position. If it's an E it's a coupe. If it's an M it's a sports coupe.
