Geez that's kinda like being ask if you want to sleep with Nicole Kidman or Pam Anderson, there really isn't much down side to either but I like the fastback a bit better, the ultimate is to have both at the same time.

I own an 85 GT. Although I plan on tweaking the sail panels to make a notchback/fastback hybrid.
Has anybody ever glassed the fastback taillights onto a notchback?

I like both of them, each of them have her own quality, the notchback whitout the wing seam's longer, and the fastback is for me the best looking sport car made in america.

My taste tells me the fastback with a wing. No stock rear wing, no fastback. That wing looks excellent on the notchback too. Every Fiero seems to lack so much without it.
My opinion only. No offense implied.

Since I have only owned a notchback, I may be a little biased. Now if anyone wants to give me their fastback... I'm not really crazy about the aero nose. It seems kind of plain, like a hoover. I don't see a lot of Ferrari's with "aero noses"

I loved my Fastback at first, then I bought a 88 Formula and I love it just as much if not more because of the shape it is in Both are awesome fixed up with a nice paint job!
Notchback for sure! Of the two body styles, only the notchback has paced an Indy race! It just appears more daring, comfortable to the eyes, not contrived, timeless. Then again, every time I see a fastback, my neck snaps to the side to get a better look. Do you like 35 D-cups (notchback) or 44 double D's (fastback). I depends on the moment you first met and the package of options..

Advantages: Less blind spot, increased probability of having newer HL system, larger fuel tank, more optional equipment. Looks a touch better than notchbacks, IMHO.
Disadvantages: Sequential taillights don't look as cool (as on the notchbacks). Slightly increased probability it doesn't have the engine cooling blower.

Notchback, I like the fastback but the notchback has a more unique style. I especially like the '87, '88 facias. The 1988 Formula would be my favourite model, even though I think it is a cleaner look without the wing.
In Order. GT Fastback. (It is just the right dimensions IMHO) 88 Formula. (It looks right for the body style) 84-87 Non Aero Coupe. (It looks right for the body style) 84-87 Aero Coupe. (To me a aero nose with a square back looks like 2 designers designed the car. One with a square design in mind and the other with a rounded design in mind.)
My favorite is the GT t-top. The t-tops look so sweet with the tops off.

They all look pretty good in a monochromatic paint scheme. Bumper pad coupes need the bumper pads left black though. And dont forget to paint the rocker panels on any of the non aero coupes. Most people forget to do that part. In spite of owning a fastback I like the notchbacks better.

I like a Convertible Formula, with GT taillights &decklid (ferrari/vette style conversion my Pat Smith.)
I like the 87-88 ft and rear fascias better, but love the GT decklid and tails.
Guess I'll have to build it ;D
Best! Ben
