Just thought I'd created a thread for all the work I'm doing to my red 86 SE. After waiting 2 years its finally getting some new toys.
So far I have the front bumper cover off to repair it. Started sanding and prepping for paint. Got my new sail panels done and ready to install. Got my rear coilover kit ready to install.
Heres the coilover conversion kit from Held Motorsports:
Here are the completed sail panels:
Will have more pics tomorrow!

Yah, they're bigger...I took out the original ones, smoothed out the ridge around the edge and stuck the new ones on. They are the same ones used on the front of the new Grand Am and Grand Prix

I ordered the inserts from www.fierosails.com I followed their instructions for removal of the old "glass" then sanded the frames, sprayed one coat of primer, wetsanded with 1000 grit sandpaper then put on two coats of black and one coat of clearcoat.
It took quite a while but they came out very nice IMO

Ok, here are a couple more pics for you guys. These are my new headlights. I have the same bulbs in my Grand Am and love them. Got these off ebay and just had to grind off little bumps on the back in each corner of the new housings to get them to fit.
These are with one old and one new light for comparison:
Will have a few more this afternoon

Wow that is very nice. Those sails look beautiful as well. I'm looking into buying the Held Motorsports rear coilovers. After you install them, please tell about it..what all you had to do and the difficulties/what not. Once again looking good!

With current wheels and tires that puts my rear swaybar about 2" from the ground. I'll have to see how things sit when I get the 17s on the car....I love coilovers!

The front shocks and rear struts are KYB from the Fiero Store (www.fierostore.com). The coilover conversion kit for the rear is from Held Motorsports (www.heldmotorsports.com).

Those last few pics look like the inside of Jay's garage.
Cars looking good. Where are you taking it for the paint job?

Wow...good eye! Thats exactly where it is
Jay will be doing the painting for me. He's borrowing a booth from a friend.
As for brakes...I will have bigger ones at some point but needed the wheels/tires first. The "winter phase" will include another call to Held motorsports!

Didn't get as far as I wanted last night, but should have trim all painted and put back on tonight. Then I just have the inner door panels and a serious cleaning job before we leave for NW Fiero Fest on Friday.
