As the topic says, I am looking at getting an aluminum spoiler for my 87GT. As of right now the 7" stands on my car need to be refinished and I am looking at something different so I might be selling them.

Anti-rice members, post if you want to, but what I am looking for is good pic's of Fieros with them installed.

Some good examples include:

Chester's GT
Lildevil coupe
the red fastback with the silver flames (not a member)

No, I don't need an essay on what you think rice is.

Why not a cardboard spoiler? It's lighter.

Elvira- Appreciate the pics! The one I am looking at would be similiar to Chester's except it would be all silver and and not a drag style. It would sit about 7" high, close to what my stock spoiler sits now! I like the look of some of the spoilers they I do agree that some look out of place.

Anti-rice! Is that the best you can do? Come on I thought you would come up with a better response than that!

BTW, if i do not like the look I can go back to my stock one. I am going to keep it and the stands. :P

Well, just put a bid on for an aluminum GTR double deck wing. Sits only a little bit higher than my current setup.

If I win the auction at the current price it will be a great price. I like the look of this particular spoiler and I think it will look tasteful on my car.

I mean, I do have stickers on my car already and Weapon R interior stuff. Gee, looks like it will be a total rice Fiero.

I do like how it looks though and I soon enough it will be on my car. Time for a new sig!

AHHHH!!!!! not only a big wing, but i double wing! There is no god!

I could have gotten ya a park bench for cheaper and stands at about the same height, just gotta give me some time to steal it.

Chester's dosnt loom that bad though, at least its not 5 feet tall and more stories than an Atlantic city hotel

Hey come on guys quit ragging on the guy for wanting to express his taste in mods on HIS Fiero... ain't that alot of what this forum is about.. look at the amount of untouched Fieros on this thing.. "there aren't many" many change everything from wings to spoilers to lowering'em and raising this to that.. rip out the dash put in something else, oh and let's not forget the motor... how many have the stock motors in these cars ??? not many there either.. me and a new member to the forum "Perkidelic" like to goto shows and "pick apart" show cars and the things we pick on are the mods that were done in bad taste.. I think the key here is to make whatever mod you do look "Clean & Trick"..!!! "Dare to Be Different Dude" it would be very BORING here if everyone drove the same ol stock Fiero, don't get me wrong Stock is sweet... but i'm in to Customs and one of a kinds... "Just Do what you like" make it "Clean & Trick" and most will like it too..

Well, I forget their names but I would love to get my hands on either of the flamed car's wings. I would like to get my Fiero painted (it's in great condition, but two red Fiero's is too much... RED!), and I think dark blue w/ Allum Spoiler would look good. I can always return to stock if I want

To each his own, but I just don't like aluminum spoilers. They don't fit in with the styling "flow" (for lack of a better word). It's smooth paint, nice lines..smooth paint, nice lines...smooth paint, nice lines...BIG ALUMINUM BI-PLANE SPOILER!!!!
I can understand it on cars purposefully built for racing, everything on them is pure function, but a street car?
Whenever I see a car with a multi level wing on the back of it I always have to fight back the urge to yell, "CURSE YOU RED BARON!!!" But of course, were you to paint your car red with white doors with big honkin' iron crosses on 'em, I'd be all for it, then the wing would fit in with the styling flow.

There has been ainquiries on selling my stock wing and 7" stands, but I might be keeping them. I will let you know I decide to sell those.

Sorry i am late...heres some pics I found. I think the spoilers look GREAT from some angles...and not so good from others. Who freakin cares about function? Does the stock Fiero spoiler DO anything? Anyways...i think the stock Fiero spoiler sits too low. And i never liked the raised stock spoiler. Not custom looking enough.

There is very little on a Fiero, especially the fastbacks, that is flat or perpendicularly square.

Say what you like, but such wings do not match the flow of the design and ALWAYS look tacked on.

We know that the wing doesn't do jack for performance. The only thing it has going for it is the aesthetic. Those wings blow the lines of the car.

Nos- Thanks for the pic's! The one you have is very close to the wing I got. I think mine is a little bit taller though. We'll see next week when I get it in the mail!

As mentioned before with Chester's wing, he has a "theme" going. Therefore it looks good.

Anyone who has seen my Fiero up close would notice the sliver graphics, silver wheels, and clear tails. With this setup the all silver wing shall fit right in place!

There are cheaper brands, but if you go with APR (like lil Devil did) shoot me an email before you buy. I will most likely be able to beat any price you have.

I got him his wing and supplied the wheels for the Stinger and artherd, amoung others.

Best of luck, what ever way you go.

The spoiler I am getting is 53" wide, has 7.5" stanchions, and sits 13" at the high point. It would be nice if the seller answered his email sooner. I want to get it by next week! Don't believe they ship any faster than standard UPS.

DUDE! I must agree with schism that that car follows the same trends in styling set by the import auto tuning crowd. I submit to you the numerous stickers, chrome wheels, and large, Erector Set style rear wing. Still a very nicely completed car, not exactly my cup o' tea (see why in my earlier post), but hey, it's his car, let him modify it how he likes.
I draw the line at neon, though .
Oh, and best looking car on the forum? I'm thinking Skitime's GT.

Well I'm about to go into the grocery store... "Hey grab me a shopping cart would ya buddy??"

"Here Sir "

"I said Shopping Cart!!"

"This is a... Oh. Be right back.."

This is to become a very common conversation. Lol. I'm just kidding!! I like the aluminum spoiler idea in a certain sense. I CAN'T stand those wings where the stantions are only 3 inches apart from each other and are about 10" tall. The wings where the stands are about factory length apart, I think those look very good. (Given they don't get outta height that is...)
