There are people working as I type on getting a GM facility near the hotel for the show on saturday
I'm told that GM *will* provide the use of their nearby facility, and the only thing remaining to be finalized are the prototypes and a food vendor.
Additionally, for GM's contribution to this event, we are ensuring it will be entirely non-profit... any proceeds from the show will go to the CFOGi and MFC clubs' respective charities. CFOGi's charity is The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, started in 1988 by Paul Newman for kids with serious blood diseases. MFC's is a very similar camp, and I'll edit this post when I get more information about it.

Man, I wish I could devulge the info I have on the GM facility. I work at the proposed site along with a few of the Michigan Fiero Club members who are working on this. But I was told to keep it under wraps untill an official anouncement is made through the proper channels. All I can say is the proposed show site is very, very close to the hotel and would be a spectacular venue for the show! I can't believe the 20th aniversary show "might" happen right outside my office window! Awsome!

With the information I got last night, I was not told to keep silent. Only the parts about the prototypes are being kept low-key because the negotiations continue, and it's a sensitive situation that we don't want screwed up. I don't know what other official announcement would be coming. To my knowledge, I am the liaison for getting 20th news to PFF. What you read above is good information. When more details can be told, I will be given the green light. IvoryFiero (Robert) and the whole bunch at MFC are doing a great job of putting things together for this. Any prior posts by me to the contrary were just due to stress. All is well and we're working together to bring you an unforgettable event.

I don't know if that is the exact picture, but it looks an awful lot like the one I took at a national Fiero show back in the summer of 1985.
The cars shown there (two convertibles, actual Indy, four seater, and bare skeleton) were shown, along with the Car Craft project car, a DGP Stage II prototype, and some other goodies that escape memory.
Kameo - you rock! Looking forward to this one. Hope it all comes together.

Im guessing that if two car carriers are bringing some cars, then that those ones will be there as well.
Did you say convertable indy!?!?!

There were two convertibles. One was red, and had a fold up top. It had this odd flip to the side rear decklid where it stowed away. The other was a copper colored speedster - no hardtop.
Then there was one of the three actual Indy pace cars with the super duty engine, suspension mods, etc.
I've got pictures of all of these if anyone is interested. I have no idea if these cars even exist anymore or not. Hard to say if they do, and if they would be dragged out for this show.
I'm informed that GM is REALLY laying out the red carpet for this one.. Thanks goto MFC & CFOG who are conducting meetings with GM and will provide any and all updates from this point on "My Job is complete!" I think that I can say with 99% surity that the 90 WILL be there and where is that ??? I'm told that the show on saturday will be held at the Engineering Design Facility "Thank YOU GM for providing the use this facility for the show" Now in a later update from CFOG & MFC we should know the number of prototypes along with other info concerning them. GM is going to ROCK at this show and are really wanting this to be a BIG event in Fiero History.. So from what i'm hearing "YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS"

Kameo Kid, at one time there were 3 1989 pre production Fieros at the Pontiac storage facility. Jim Mattison runs it for Pontiac. Some of the members of the West Michigan chapter of P.O.C.I. are close with him. I wonder if these were saved from the crusher.

Sorry for the confusion. I was aware of the facility approval by GM early last week but was urged not to let the cat out of the bag until after the MFC held their "show commitee" meeting tonight and the CFOGi folks were informed. And I was not sure who or how the information would be officially released.
That being said, I am really stoked that the show will be held at the PCC-North facility. The available parking/showing area is huge and I believe we will have use of the large atrium/lobby area for "show cars" and such. A shuttle service is also being looked into for getting people from the hotel to the site. This is going to be one heck of an event!

There was 3 besides the red one. I was meant to go on a trip a few years back when 50 Aussie Pontiac enthusiasts got shown around. My friend Dave Clee who runs Ponti-World in Australia got pictures of 3 89 Fieros sitting in the storage yard. They was crushed Easter 2001.
