Soon to be (Possibly): 1984 Pontiac Fiero SE, Red, Iron Duke, Automatic. On a 1-10 scale, it's a 5 1/2. What it will become: 1984 Pontiac Fiero GT Fastback, with a 3.4 Camaro/Firebird Engine, black interior, Mr. Mikes leather, Blue or Black Paint, and whatever else. On a 1-10 scale, it'll be a 12. :) ;)

What I was thinking for a possibility (for atleast the speedo and eventually the tach) is that if you were to take that HUD that that guy (sorry, forgot the name and can't look it up at the moment) is making and instead of mounting it on the dash, cut a hole in the analog gauge and put it there. Would that work or not? If it did, it could be feasibly cheap for the speedo and tach when he gets that done. Or is it too big or anything? Thanks.

Well, IMO it looks photoshopped, you cant see any surrounds around the digital numbers or anything, and the numbers dont look like they are being digitally projected.
Just my opinion, still looks pretty cool though.

Hi, HUD guy here.. (well, 1/3 of HUD guy.. Oliver is the other 2/3!) I actually made the HUD circuit board so the LED's can be attatched seperately, remotely mounted, and have the numbers appear "not backwards" to be used exactly for that reason. I did just the speedo like that in a previous Mitsubishi I had, and it looked great. You'd have to come up with all the other gauges, like temp, odometer, etc.. But if and when I *ever* get the HUD project 100% done (as in all built and sold) I'm going to work on some other digital gauges, for temps and pressures and such.. I would LOVE to make a dash that looks like that picture!!! Analog looks good, and digital gives you accurate numbers with it. Cool!

Actually, the pic is photoshopped, or rather since I use PhotoImpression so I guess it was photoimpressioned.
So, it would work? Cool. If, or rather when you get all the gauges done, I'd more than likely pic em up. I think that dash would look so badass, and I doubt I'm the only one. I'll look into just the speedo though. But I have some other things going on currently.
