I realize there is some crafty workmanship that has gone into this Fiero, but that front end is WAY to busy for the rest of the car. There's to much going on there and no other "bling bling" items anywhere else. Very nice work on the fabricating, I like the Z3 style fenders.

mrfixit58's (Roy's) interior is just incredible! You have to see it in person to beleive it. I was VERY dissapointed that they didn't give you best engineering. Oh well. It was best for me.

I too was disappointed that Roy didn't win "best custom interior".
DJRice - I gave you a positive even though you somehow missed a certain red GT from Houston:
My car was not yet in show condition, but it was good to finally meet some of the Fiero legends and visit some old friends in Florida. And get in some site seeing.

Thanks for all the great complements on the new interior. I really enjoyed meeting and talking to all those who stopped by. The best part of the show is always putting faces with names or, rather, nicknames of those who you've talked to on the forum.
My friend and fellow Firebird interior compatroit, Jonathan (a.k.a. jscott1), drove all the way from Houston, TX to attend the show. It was really great meeting him after all the shaired emails and ideas. Without his help I may still be trying to figure out how to make the window switches work. Keep up the good work, Jonathan.
As far as not winning the award for "Best Modified Interior", I really can't explain it except to think that either the judge just flat missed my car or he just really prefers Fiero style interiors. I really tried to make the Firebird interior look like a stock interior (other than the Fiero's) so maybe I did too good of a job and it just wasn't noticed. I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little dissapointed but still, it was a great show and I had a great time. There's alway next year.
Not a lot of photos...it seems like I was too busy looking at all the cars to stop and take pictures. I did manage to get a few, though, and slappped them on a web page. If you like 'em, please give me a pos rating. Don't know what you have to do to get one of those nifty little 'ratings' bars...

Hey mrfixit, where did you get that big Fiero emblem?? That is nice! And I love that interior even more each time I see it! I'll have to try that once I get some spare time and money. I hope to somehow keep the stock gauges, though.
BTW, are you planning on getting a different steering wheel? I think that would 'complete' the interior.

I have a bunch of pictures of red fieros, but I guess I missed yours. Sorry!
Next time you make it to the KSC/CCAS drop me a line, maybe we can hook up and have lunch. The cafeteria over near the VAB is much nicer than the one we have in the CCAS industrial area.

My car even made it in, although it is just in the background. Red 88 with white trunk lid. I didn't win anything, but I will be there next year with a Fiero to try.

(answering for Roy) the dash and console is an early 4th gen Firebird. The door panels are Fiero with Firebird handles, latches and pull pockets added. The computer cover is a custom piece.
Here is an example of a late 4th gen firebird interior in a fiero (mine).

Mainly because Archie didn't bring the Stinger. He told me that he doesn't like to bring the same car to the same show two years in a row.
DUH.. lol
Thank you Mr. Scott!!
Hey congrat's on your finished interior... Awesome!!
What part of Houston are you from?? I grew up in Bellaire, and have Family that live's in Kima(sp?) and Webster.... I may get down there this summer for a visit, We may have to get together...

Smooooth GT, Sorry, you don't really need to redo your scoops. Looking at yours and the photoshopped pictures on the Forum got the idea in my head and when our body shop ended up with a damaged Grand Am with a ram air nose and a C5 corvettte came in with a damaged nose I just had to try molding them into the GT nose. Just like I had to try making louvers in the fenders similar to the Z3 louvers last year. Several people at the show said I should get a mold made off the nose but I am not sure if it would be worth trying. Kris
Kris... Great Job on your fascia... Look's great!! No, I may still change mine to a different 'Pontiac' style design. You know me and Smooth GT, I AM going to be different then anyone else...

Smoooooth, thanks for the compliment on the Firebird interior, even though it's not completely finished yet. I showed it as a work in progress. I actually live in Pearland, just a rocks throw from the southern tip of Houston. Let me know if you are going to be in town, we can have a get together.
There were a lot of nice Fieros at Daytona, about 30 in daily driver alone, and most of those were custom really nice Fieros. It seems you have to do something unique and challenging, (like smoooothing your car) to get it noticed

Spyder: Thanks again... it was nice meeting you too.. enjoyed your kitcar. Fierobear: That WOMAN - that's my sister, Kinga. MotorTV - Thanks for taking pic of me and Archie's Fino... good shot. jscott1 - Great shots of my baby. Thanks alot. My rims are 17" chrome Superior rims - discountinued about 3 years ago. They are similar to the Mustang Cobra 5-spoke rims on SVT's. Thanks again for complements.
Brygida; Are those chrome wheels the ones you had in your red GT? They look very nice in that car. Also thanks for the pic of my car and your sister model
