NICE, A real one too. The TACH goes up to 8000 rpm with a redline of 7500, thats not for a normal 2.5. A friend up here has one too. A surprising 4cyl. Good find!

All I can do is sit here and drool, Rob.... EXCELLENT find! Envious doesn't even begin to describe how I feel. Now, the BIG question...it is YOUR car, or Renee's?
300 HP??? Okay...I'm really drooling now! You gotta be sh@#&ng me. Rob, you know that if you ever need a little break from Lil' Indy that I'll babysit him for you guys!
HOW MUCH??? That has to be one of the best finds I have heard of. The engine looks like it has never been driven its so clean. I don't know jack about the Super Duties, but is it streetable, or race only??? What are the odds of finding somthing like that! Oh, no offense, but those gold rims gots to go! Not on an Indy. At least you have two more sets to chose from, huh?

jscott, someone added that superduty, if it were real, i think rob would have had to sell his house to pay for it

WOW! Sweet Indy! I have a bunch of questions as I am sure everyone else does as well. These rims:
I have seen these before. Are these truck rims? I saw a set at chases autosalvage once and considered getting them for my Indy, but passed as I didn't think they were close enough in looks to the actual pace car rims for the money. The speedo is interesting. I am assuming that it is a mod of some kind? If so, do you know where they got that from? That is awesome! You have the original engine that came with it?, so the original owner obviously opted to swap it with an SD4 way back when. Do you know what the actual mileage is on either engine? Or did they swap the 2.5 out right off the bat so the original engine has almost no mileage on it at all. If so, then the original engine has even lower mileage.
See, just a "few" questions
Steve

Wow, very impressive. It seems so plain just taking a look at it nobody would EVER suspect it's got the superduke in it! I'm very surprised somebody spent all that money on the (admittedly badass) superduke and didn't do a bunch of other stuff to the car.
I've got questions on a couple of things, hopefully you can help us out. First of all, was the tach a factory option back when or is that custom made? Also, I've never seen these wheels:
Do you have any info about the wheels as far as size, offset, company, or if they're even obtainable anymore. I know the other wheels you've got there are supposed to be basically impossible to find (especially in that kind of shape!!!) anymore.
You must've spent a good chunk of dough on that car, but it is one heck of a package! Too bad it's an auto...heh, I'd have that thing swapped in a jiffy, but that's just me.
Thanks, looking forward to more info! What're your plans for the car?

To heck with the tach, the stinkin speedo goes up to 150 MPH, drooooooooooool. Sweet ride, hope you drive it and have fun, please don't let it be a trailer queen.

The guy who owns one up here has done alot of research and has told me that only 5 true Indy fiero were made with the special engine, the 8000 rpm tach is what I look for to see.

Whew! Got a couple of hours sleep so feeling mucho better . OK to answer some of the questions from earlier in the thread;
Where did I find this jewel you ask? It was listed on Fiero Pride, our club web site as an "Indy Puzzle". The price was listed in the ad. Cost of the car was $2500 complete plus travel expenses !
Was the Super Duty added by the owner? Yes.
The centerline rims, are those truck rims? Not sure but they are the closest you can get to the original style Indy rims. Two of them are 9" wide and two are 10" wide.
Are the gauges something the owner installed? Yes, as far as I know the gauges were an add on that the owner installed. I got a box of documentation with the car. Did I mention that I bought it from the original owner of both, the car and the Super Duty?
Do you know the original mileage off either engine? Yes! The original iron duke has the 18,976 miles on it. (and will be offered for sale ) The Super Duty has two race seasons in autocross on it. The owner told me that he "Never really got into it" because of the investment. So it’s pretty much FRESH. The Webber side draft carbs were just rebuilt and the inside of the motor is as clean or cleaner then the outside!
Do you have any info about the wheels as far as size, offset, company, or if they're even obtainable anymore. All I know about these rims is that they are Riken's and I'm pretty sure they're not made any more. I'll have to dig today in the documentation to see if there is anything about them in there.
Is that Super Duty a streetable version or race only? Well I think this is subjective. The car will not run on anything less then 105 octane racing gas (12.8:1 compression) but I feel that it will see some street time... I'll scan and post the actual motor build sheet for those interested in the internals of the engine. It comes complete with forged crank, rods and pistons. Titanium valves and retainers. Hehehe, looks like its almost nitrous ready except for the compression ratio... Whew...I think that cover the questions so far.
Stay tuned for some more pictures of the "Gravy" soon!
