So I won a Notchback GT right tail light...I got it for 35 I think that included shipping, I don't know, I can't remember it's bee so long!... This happened about a month ago, I inquired if the package had been sent after two weeks, and this is the email I got:
First:
>Sorry for the shipping delay but it will be going out today by fedex
Then:
>Was shipped by the postal service they don't provide tracking ##'s should >be getting it any time now.
And another week latter:
>Your tail light has been gone by the post office and you should have gotten >it any time now and as far as your $35 we have no reason to rip you off >this is the problem we have with the fiero community jumping to a >conclusion that they are being ripped off. Please let me know as soon as it >get there.
So first he says it was sent fedex, then US mail..??? I'm just using common sense here, but If I were a seller, I would use UPS and get a tracking number for proof of shipping....
This is driving me nutz, I hate giving money away to people that don't do jack **** ... is there anything I could do besides smearing him on this board, and contacting ebay, and paypal...??
The sad truth is this guy would just change his name....
Heres his info:
Email Address and User ID History for: cadero4.9 The email address for this member is: northstar32@adelphia.net
User ID History Effective Date End Date cadero4.9 Thursday, Jan 31, 2002 Present
It's too bad, this guy has some nice parts...Hey, If this is all just a misunderstanding, I'm sorry... but I doubt his dog ate my tail light, especially after he clams to have sent it first with FedEx, then Us mail....
such a shame....

If its the same guy Ive dealt with (by the name) I got my part, just took about a month to finally get it. I think its partly because once the sellers already got the money, not much motivation to go to the trouble of shipping it...
What would be great if EBay changed its system where the money from a buyer would be held in escrow until notified by buyer that its received.

Yea, I mean what the **** are we to do...Ebay clams its fraud is less than %10 but there lying... So many mother phuckers do this...I'm not tripping about the 35 bucks, it's the moral concept...
Right now, I'd pay to the highest bidder 5 thousand for his head on a stick!... May be I should find out where he lives and hold his pet for ransom....
It's not illegal to kidnap pets is it..?? Petty theft..?? Less than 3 months!!...Worth it!...
I though ebay held escrow on items...??

Always look at the feedback & how long they've been selling. never be a sellers first costemer. never buy from someone who has even 1 bad feedback. It took me a bit to learn these lessons. scammers will quickly disappear when the buyers get cautious.
This is just a little list of my "morals" or personal rules as a seller on ebay. 1. When you get paid the money the buyer has met his end of the bargain and it is your duty to meet your. so when the money is recieved, leave positive feedback. Then if for some reason he leaves you bad feedback you wont be tempted to give the childish revenge feedback. afterall he held up his end and it was your job to take care of him. 2. Always ship items the day you get the money. It is easy if you package it up after taking the pictures for ebay. Just run over to the post office or ups and send it out. 3. Always have some type of delivery comformation. UPS does it and it is available from the post office, etc. That way if the customer got it you know! If not Try to reach a compromise dont just say, tough luck dude I cant do anything about sumthin lost in shipping. Remember it could be you next time that gets screwed. How would you like it to be handled.
Anyway I think a lot of the sellers on ebay are just lazy and dont care. They ship stuff in crappy packaging that obviously wont protect the item and wait until they have several things to ship to take them. It is so easy to disrespect the customer when you dont deal face to face. Maybe this guy needs to meet you.

I don't understand who people sell something, and not deliver...I mean there are better morals in drug dealing dope to crack hoes than taking peoples money for nothing...At least the drug dealer gives his customer some product....
I've always wondered if it was worth it to sell small items on ebay, I always thought "Gee is it really worth this guys effort to package and ship this to me for XX amount" Well I found my answer...nope, it isn't worth his time, and you probably wont get the item...
this guy has 17 items for sale now. you might email his bidders the info on your story and let them decide if they want to continue bidding or yank thier bids.
Yeah, Ebay is a crapshoot. usually, if the seller has a high number of happy customers, you can trust them...but I'm waiting 6+ months for a sunroof I doubt will ever show up...

What I love about Ebay Sellers is the game they play with shipping! Being from Canada, I expect to pay dearly for shipping BUT!! I email the seller before auction is over, ask for a shipping price to my residence and am returned a quote for say $12US. Then win the auction, send him payment along with shipping price. The parcel arrives with a postage price of $4.25! WTF! In respect to him, I actually emailed him for a response to this, before leaving NEG comments. He didn't bother to reply! Sandy

Most ebay sellers charge a shipping AND handling fee. It covers actual shipping and any costs like materials, time, etc. I don't think it is unreasonable.

That's BULLSH!T. If they want a 'handling fee' then STATE it. This was a simple parcel... It's not like he had to build a CRATE! Sandy

Well, yes & no. I'm pretty cheap when it comes to billing shipping to ebayers. I generally figure out how much it would cost to ship the package to California, then add a dollar or so for packing materials. UPS can a bit more expensive than USPS, but they have much better tracking and insurance policies (plus I have regular pickup here at the office, so I don't have to drive to the local post office). Ocassionally the actual cost is higher than I expected (for "dimensional weight" or just heavier than I anticipated), then I just eat the charge- it's my responsibility then.
Whether they list it as just "shipping" or "Shipping & Handling" -they still need to cover the cost of boxing & shipping the stuff.
The thing that get's me is very simliar. I've been shopping ebay for an LCD screen for my Fiero. Now everytime I find a good deal, they want $20 for Shipping & Handling- from 2 states away. Now I could understand paying as much as $10 (shipping including the time to pack it and drive it to a shipping location)- but that's beyond "padding" the auction. Too many people these days are trying to make a few extra bucks by overcharging on S&H. But hey, that's free enterprise at it's finest!
cowans, boxes, tape, time, gas, hassle. A lot of bs goes into shipping something. It isnt worth the effort unless you get a little somehing for it. the fee the shipping company charges to bring it to you is all that shows up on your package. If someone tells you the fee and you agree to it then give them negative feedback you are an idiot. If you arent happy with the fees someone charges DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Oh and what is your ebay user id so I can cancel any bids you might place on my stuff. you call it a game? If he told you what shipping would cost for him to ship it to you and you accepted I dont see the game. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO that gets me steamed. Why didt you say, hey man how much are charging be to box it up and deliver it to the post office and how much is actual shipping? Then if were not happy you could have not bid! There is no game, you just got upset because the guy charged to go through the bs it took to get something to you. I for one also charge although not that much more, a little more than the actual shipping because I take my time and ensure the item is protected in the package and will arrive in one piece and it does cost for supplies and time. The bid you place is on the item not for the guys time and shipping supplies. If you want it delivered to your door you have to pay. whaaaaaa!!! get over it.
Good, so did I!!! But, as i stated previously, "Shipping & Handling" might have been a more acceptable reference. I did give him the option to responding to my question... He chose not to... $4.25 from $12.00 =$7.75 (for packaging, PLEASE!) But, in reference to your "idiot" remark, I hope that you feel, WAY BETTER! thanks, Sandy

Let me guess. Is he in/near Miami? Sounds like our friend Keith S., that so many people here are ready to string up. No, he's never burned me. Never gave him the chance.
Not all of them and i respect someone getting paid for bringing it to the post office or buying the envolope.
When i sell stuff, i only charge what the post office wants. I get boxes for free, and when its an envenlope, i can swallow the dollar cost, when i was selling the fiero books.
Theres one motorcycle shop that sells parts. Sometimes the way they treat parts in the pics is very poor. But sometimes they might have something i want. But i decide ill hold off because of their stupid handeling charge.
If payment isn't paypaled or overnight within 24hours, your handeling fee will be 30 dollars, but if you can get it within the time allowed, its only 20.
Thats just crap. So i just find people with better parts and are looking to making people happy
see, that is what I mean. There are crooks out there trying to take you. for instance the ones that dont give shipping until after the auction ends. So they can recoup if the item sold too low. Or the ones that charge ridiculous amounts to ship something that will fit in an envelope. But to agree to the terms, place your bid and then complain is silly. I cant see it. If you dont like the terms of the deal just move on. You pay what they ask they send you what you want period no reason for negative feedback then.

Yep...it's him. I recognize the username and email address. He's burned a LOT of people, including several on this forum. I got lucky...I got my parts, and they were at least useable. Some have gotten their parts, and they were junk...but most just got NOTHING.

What I got was exactly what he described and I wasnt in a hurry anyway. (Im assuming its the same guy). There are 2 ways usually listed for shipping a/ shipping charge is listed or will be sent to you b/ 'buyer pays actual shipping charge'
I know its a pain to send stuff out over the actual postage. If i dont have an adequate box, i have to buy one, those peanuts cost 75 cents for a small bag, bubble wrap isnt cheap either. Then you have the actual driving to the post office/shipper and standing in line. That has to be worth a few bucks. Not condoneing slow or pricey shipping, but what can ya do.

Roger, I can understand taking a day or two after you get the payment to ship the item. People have busy lives, etc. But this guy kept claiming "I'll ship it first thing tomorrow". A week and a half later, after it didn't arrive, I'd email him again. "Oh, I have a bunch of parcels to ship out, I'm waiting for payment on some others, then will ship all at the same time so I don't have to make lots of trips". A couple of weeks later, nothing. It took him over three months, and a threat to turn him over to the Postal Inspectors, to get my parts...which were a pair of door weatherstrips. There's NO excuse for it taking THAT long.

That's a good idea...Also I ran in to an old friend of mine, who's computer / HTML skills often allow him to gain access otherwise non public to most people....I think he's going to go to work on ebay's user info....

Yep! Here we go again! Damned crook tried to screw me over a set of manifolds that were supposedly off the car and ready to ship... Then he tells me (10 days later) that I jumped the gun (after I smeared him here) and he was only waiting for his mechanic to remove them from his car! He also wasn't "Keith Sybliss," but some other idiot using his friend Keith's computer... Then, after about 2 1/2 more weeks of me sending a paypal money request (basically a bill) every couple of days, my money showed up. Usually everytime that I post some response like this, he forwards his receipt of his refund payment to me, so that I'm reminded that he "did the right thing." Total BS!!!

So what is this...??? Is this some sort of verification...??
In my recent research I have learned a lot about you... Keith Sybliss AKA: Bluemagic and I believe the last one was Speed logic...
You would be amazed about how many people were willing to come forward with this information, as they are still waiting for parts too...and currently I am waiting for work back from a guy who claims to have you're current address....
Now I know why you hate "those fiero community guys" It really must be a pain in the ass to come up with new names all the time... Probably just easier to get off you're ass and send out some parts....

look....I'm not trying to sensationalize, I did not post that on the forum for self image... I posted it to hurt you and you're business as well as to get some information about you....
I don't like Flakes that sell **** and take 15 days to send it...This is noting personal, this is just a business vendetta on my behalf, and from what I can see about a dozen of other mad people on the forum...You have a problem....
I don't care if you have the nicest 355 rep, or supra, I don't give a **** .. The only thing I care about is my 35 bucks, or my tail light...
I'm no kiss ass on the forum...You seem to think I made that post, and sent emails to all you're bidders to make my self look better...No...I did it to make you look BAD!...That's the idea, if somehow everyone knows about you and you're bad business practices, then maybe no one will buy form you...
You don't seem to get it! This is no thrill for me...I don't buy things on ebay, in hopes that they will not fallow through with there part of the deal, so it gives me a reason to bad mouth people....To think that I enjoy this is ridiculous...
What I would enjoy is looking at my newly installed tail light right now!!
I'm unfortunately a nice person, I'm honest, and when I **** up in the business world, I do EVERY THING to make it up to that person...I put a clutch in a chicks car last week...Now it's slipping again...I told her it's because she didn't give it any time to break in...She got mad, said she was going to take it some where else, I gave her half her cash back...The job was a total loss for me... So then why did I give her cash back, and didn't just tell here "done deal." Because the other day when the new mechanic took her clutch apart, he said the same thing I did...And he changed her a lot more... Now she is telling all her friends that I did the job right, and that I was nice enough to give her half her cash back, and that she was wrong, and that I was right all along...
That's why I do it...Because lousing my reputation and integrity are not worth any amount of cash!.... It's called customer service!...
This is about someone who bought something on ebay, paid for it right away... and a guy to makes lies and excuses as to why the buyer doesn't have his item...
That's it...So ****ing simple...Do you understand why I am angry..??
It would be like you buying some accessories for you're car, sending the money off to some company, and never receiving you're parts...You would throw a fit too...wouldn't you...That's all this is about...
Look...I'm a half logical guy at this point, and despite the anger about the bull **** , I do see you're side to some extent... I do understand there are always two sides to every situation...Maybe you're wife had a baby, and you didn't get time to ship..Maybe there was a death in the family....The point is that any one of those excuses would buy my time, as well as my sympathy..but you didn't say anything except "I'll sent it out today" and "I sent it" but its not here....
And then when I began to question weather you really sent it or if it's still on the car, I made that post on the forum... If people would have said, you are an alright guy, and that although you're slow I will get my stuff..Ok then fine..
But most of the people on that thread said you hadn't sent them **** ...and that I will most likely never get my stuff... So how do you think that's going to make me feel....??? No one stuck up for you...No one....
All along you should have told me you didn't have time to sent it out until the 4th, but instead you insisted you sent it out a long time ago...
> There are a few that I will make it good with them and they deserve it but > those who have used the forum to bolster your self image and lie to make me > look bad keep on worrying I am doing good.
I promise you. I will not lie about you...If I get my items I will be sure to let everyone know that I received them.. You defiantly don't have a 10 rating on my list, but I wont smear you if you do eventually come through...
Like I said, I did not post that for self image...And you should make good with everyone because if they gave you any money Then they deserve it...That's what selling something means...They give you money, for you're product....And I guarantee you that if you went out of you're way to settle all these disputes you have with others, then none of them would have posted negative things about you...
You're integrity is not worth any amount of cash...just get it together, and come through with you're end of the deal....

A guy stole my identity on ebay and was selling very high priced stuff.......getting the money and then took off. I got alot of emails from frustrated buyers. I know he got at least 4k from them. I told them to report it to ebay....as I did of course. Problem is, it's hard as hell to catch him. He had an address that money was sent to, but nobody lived there. BUYER BEWARE!

Anyone notice he is not replying on the forum to this post? His short time on ebay under his current seller ID? He does have a lot of feed back but mostly from him as a buyer. His use of profanity to enhance his vocabulary shows a definite lack of intelligence when he is lacking credibility to back up his responses to any accusations. Definitely a low life bottom feeder in the food chain who enjoys screwing people. In the past 3 years I have purchased and sold many items and he is the only party I have ever run into like this. Many thanks to the truly honest people out there who are good on their word.
