Hello, all.

I recently purchased my first Fiero. An 87 GT 5-sp. The thing that bothers me is that it has a luggage rack in lieu of a rear spoiler. I am considering a conservative aftermarket spoiler but am hesitant to buy without actually seeing it on a Fiero. Could I get a look at some non-OEM spoilers you guys might have installed? I look forward to your responses.

Oh yeah, Fieros ROCK!

The spoiler on my '85 SE is from a '87ish Firebird T/A (pedistal mount, not wraparound). I'll see if I can't dig up some pics of it. Next to the stock Fiero wing, I like these the best.

If you expect the unexpected, was it really even UNexpected in the first place?

'85 SE, 2.5, 5spd (350 standing by waiting for ole duke to puke)
'86 SE, 2.8, auto (3.4 in progress)

'02 Yamaha R6, blue/white, 3300 miles, LIGHT case of roadrash, for sale. Will accept Fiero and/or parts as PARTIAL trade.

I like the OEM just fine but was wondering what might be available aftermarket. I have an OEM spoiler from an SE but the pillars are no good and the nuts are rolling around loose inside the wing. Figured it might be eaiser and cheaper(?) to go aftermarket. Am I headed the wrong direction?

Here is my 86GT with a different spoiler. It actually came off an Isuzu I-Mark car,?? go figure?? But anyway , I like the newer look it gives the car.

The Firebird spoiler is more my taste. It does look pretty good. I like the spoiler on the Fast & Furious but it's a little extreme for me. Hot looking little car, though.

Some guys at work suggested I go bareback. I'm the only Fiero around so I get looks anyway. I just like a spoiler. I'm wanting one that is mild, but not stock to keep with the "slightly modified" look I am going for. I'm liking the Firebird so far.

Had to edit for the GT. Oooooooooooo....I like.

Here is another one of Fiero3:

I originally had a Firebird spoiler on my white 84SE Fiero1 that my Dad then made custom raised stantions for. I have seen on a few web sites that you can now buy raised stantions for the Firebird spoiler BTW.
I have since put a stock spoiler on Fiero1 though which I think on that particular Fiero now has the look I want. But I love the look of the red Firebird spoiler on my red '85 Fiero3.

Wow, Steve. That GT in the foreground of that pic at the bottom of your page looks just like mine. Did it have a spoiler on it?

Here is a pic of my Fiero1 back around '99 when it had the raised Firebird spoiler. You can't see it very well in this pic but it was the only pic I could find right off:

That's my Dads (87V6GT) sweet maroon 87GT 5 speed that actually came that way - wingless from the factory
Here is another few pics his GT:

Keep in mind that the page that pic you saw is on is "only" page 1

Here is another Fiero with a Firebird spoiler:

Hey Fiero5, on jordan's fiero I dont want to have it sound like i'm negatively criticiziing you and i'm not but i was just thinking that spoiler just really doesnt sit all that well on that car. I'm sorry I just don't like it. Just my opinion, maybe others think different.

That's OK, I can take critism you %$#@*@&# little...
DOH!
The spoiler "fit" looks a bit off because it is still an in progress mod. It will look better when we have finished off the spoiler on the deck lid
Jordan wants it to look like a Fast & Furious style car and that is the spoiler he picked out for his Fiero.
To each his own right? Even for a 9 year old

I kinda agree with this statement just didn't want to be the first one to say it. I don't want to offend you, Fiero5 or your 9 year old but this wing looks... um... what's the nicest I can put it.... hideous. Does it look furious? Maybe (or maybe it just makes on-lookers furious). Does it look fast? No.

Then again, I do agree with the 'each to his own' statement and I can't argue with the tastes of a 9 year old. I'm sure it's just a phase...

87GTSleeper - check out my slightly modded oringinal wing with extensions in 'spy pics of my new mods' thread from just a couple days ago (sorry - I don't know how to post a link yet - haven't taken the time to figure it out).

Quite sweet, Voytek! I wish I had the skill with fiberglass. As I said, my GT came without one and the one I have is pretty crudded up. Ahhhhh, decisions, decisions...

Hey that Sundance spoiler looks really good on the coupe! I wonder how it would fit on a fastback, with the edges and all.

Keep 'em coming. This is really good stuff!

No, it was that lime green color allready when we got it. We did change a few colors on the trim until we reached what it is now.
When it was first offered to me I passed on it, but then Jordan kept saying how much he really liked the green Fiero that I finally told him that if he really wanted it I would go get it for him. You can see the story on it here: https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/023057.html

You can see a ton of pics on his Fiero as well as all of our other Fieros here: http://www.cardomain.com/id/fiero5

Here's pics of the wing mod that Voytek did. It's hard to top the original fiero wing...unless you modify it
