Hey guys, I'm new to the fiero world, was hoping I could get a little help. First of all, I've never owned a fiero, and I'm 6'1"... will i fit?! I'm really into building chevy s10's... but I think it's time for something new. I've always liked fieros, and I think a v8 conversion would make one wicked little car. Am I right? Anyway, I've read a lot of posts, and this seems like a really cool group. Hope to meet some new people. Talk to you soon- Mark

Welcome to the forum. Only problem with Fieros is, once you buy one, you've got to have another..........and another..........and another! BTW, you'll fit just fine in one. We've got members here taller than you with no probs!

how far are you from Barrington Illinois(nw suburb of chicago)? check out www.v8archie.com if you havent already. I'm sure he can show you some nice ones.
btw, Archie is over 6 ft. and he drives his fiero with a 3 inch choptop.
Thanks for the replies guys. I'm actually pretty close to barrington, about 25-30 mins away. I've seen his site before, and I think I'm going to make a trip over there to check it out!

V8's are nice in Fieros. I'm swaping a high revving 302 + 5speed in my Sunday car and when I get more $$ I'm doing an L67 supercharged 3.8 V6 Swap into my daily driver.

are you doing a 302 as in a Windsor or a 302 as in a de-stroked 305 or 350? if youre doing a windsor-based motor, how hard was it to make it all work? i love working on my 5.0 and i loved my fiero. i think a 5.0 fiero would be the best of both worlds since i built my 5.0 from the ground up, i know all i need to know anyway.

i'm actually only 5' 11" but still thought i'd throw in that in comparision to a couple of more common cars, an s10 blazer and a c3 vette, i push the seat all the way back. both manual trannys. with the fiero, especially a manual one, i bring the seat up a notch or two.

I'm about 6'7" with my shoes on and I fit in my fiero. (it's an auto) There is lots of leg room and just enough head room for me. The hardest part for me is getting my inside leg underneath the steering wheel. I'd be hard pressed (pun intended) to fit in a chop top.

I'm 6'2" and I have more room in the Blue GT than in either of my Vettes that I've owned. Of course I don't think I would fit into the LT1 Chop Top Fiero that has had about 3-4" takin off the top.
Heres a pic of the LT1:

dont worry about ur height, my friend got in my car when i first got it, fit, kinda tight, but he fit, and then a few months later he had grown a bit and he had the opportunity to get in it again, still fit (i dont know why he hates that car, but oh well, i smoked him)
