Everyone Go check out my link I have another view of the Wide Body done. I plan on taking these into my cad program and making a model to make molds from, I really want to make a kit bad, as for the dash I don't know if thats for me but if people can get me the pics I can probbaly generate a reasonably accurate mold. How many people would want to dish out real (as opposed to no money) for the kit I am about to embark on making? Nate
I edited the fender flares in on my computer, thats what I plan for my own project, I will however make a non flared version i don't know how long it will take me though. To see more check out the links I posted earlier I have the Photoshop files avalible

Will somebody PLLLLEEEAAASSSEEE photoshop one of the car lowered (different color) with different wheels?? like maybe the notorious 19s or something PLEASE
I wonder If they produced the '90 car today, how many people would buy it? How many hungry Fierofans ALONE would buy them? How much would they sell for?
I know that if they were around 20G, I'd snatch one up in a heartbeat.
This thread is dangerous!
It's amazing that they killed the car partly because they recalled 125,000 cars. Think about the PT Cruiser recall, or the ignition-fire recall, or the firestone recall...
I love the Fiero, just wish all the parts weren't almost 20 years old...part of the reason why I would love to see the car brought back is to make sure I can have a decent used 2004 Fiero in 2024!
(sighs) back to work...

ATTENTION all Fiero Dreamers. I am in the processing of replicating the body in CAD then I will try in clay to my best ability. Any party interested E-mail me, as the more people that can afford a 2500 to 4000 body kit the quicker i will finish them, I will try to make them as inexpensive with the highest quality possible. Who would be interested in ordering. if I get 10 people that are interested, I mean seriously, I will try to get the CAD files and a clay model done sometime in the next few months.
BTW anyone want custom photoshop pics of wheels or drops or chops, let me know, as I did the wide body ones, as for the wheels pick your wheels and I will put them on and post the pictures on my web page. at http://64.178.107.236/~nate/IMSA%20Body.html
The right people have exchanged plans and ideas, just waiting on a piece of paper to make it final, but it looks like Hulki will see these at the 20th anniversary show next year. This is gonna be really good

Wonder if GM isnt testing public reaction to bringing the trans-am name back as a mid-engine? I suspect they are. Just bring the fiero back, even with a new name. From a marketing point of view it would work. No doubt they would sell more camaro's if the trans am was differentiated from it.
Dont forget to e-mail pontiac and tell them to bring it back. Since the car was built on such a flexible platform- why not offer 2 models-one like the 88 and the 2nd like the 90.
GM had the Pt Cruiser of sports cars and didnt properly market it. No other 2 seater has come close to the 130,000+ sold in 1984.

So is someone other then me planning on building this thing, if so do you have any e-mail or phone numbers. I would like to know.
I am working on a clay model of the panels now so that I can make them out of urethane. It may take a little while but I will get it done. I am also working on the wide fender version. According to my source at GM the 88 chasis is identical to the 89, as GM was planning the 89 for production with the same supension, just better tires and there was talk of better brakes.
E-mail me if you want to know more FieroGTU@ptd.net

OMG!!! I just noticed the inside now. Taking a close look at the gauges, it does look like a recent gauge pack. (not as recent as 96+ but recent enough) In my opinion, recent enough to be ECU controlled! Therefore, by deduction, what is under the hood is an early OBD type engine system. Possibly but not limited to: 2.2L (eek no!) 2.4L DOHC (better) 3400, 3800, 3800SC!
There are some more, but GM would not of cramed any bigger under the hood. :P

There was some TOUR of people... and apparently they were walking through an OUTDOOR parking lot behind a GM testing ground facility.. the parking lot was jam packed with prototype cars of all sorts... cars as old as 2nd gen f-bodies... all slammed in together.. anyway.. there were at least 2 silver Fieros JUST LIKE THAT.. that I remembered seeing in those pictures. I'll try to find them. They looked fairly similar to this Fiero you guys saw in the car show.
I agree that they could sell tons of a new Fiero if they just kept the price down and it was modifiable as easily as the original, and with plenty of after market stuff like the hondas and such have.

I love it. If they brought the Fiero back I would sell my parents house for it!! I would want it to be updated for the 21 century though. You did a good job. When was this taken?
Hey thanks for posting those pics of the prototype. to bad it took me so long to see this thread.I have mixed feelings about what they were going do do to the newer cars. I think that the nose should have been left alone but extending the rear a few inches wouldent have hurt the image. I also like the vents over the engine bay get lots of circulation with them. A new interior with special options would be really cool to and a digital dash is a must so futuristic. where is everyone else have they forgot this thread already?

I know it would be hard, but you might want to wait and see if Kameo Kid can get to the show next year. You could get some more detailed pics of the inside then.

Kameo Kid you can bump this thread to the top all you want as far as I am concerned. Anything new to report? Will the car be in future shows or at the Anniversary?
Oh yes, and bump.

Bump, Drool, and my wife thought I was looking at **** when she saw my eyes light up.... I will be at the Show next year even if I have to glue a Fiero hood logo to my forehead.
AAHHHH Glad to see this ol rag is still making it's rounds... Latest update is... It's looking grim for the prototype at this time.. since I turned over some info to the Fiero Clubs infolved in the 20th Aniversary show I thought that this was in the bag that the car would be at the show, but now I've heard that GM doesn't want the car to been seen again since it wasn't supposed to be out at this show... I'm still working on changing their tune...

Keep us all updated on the anniversary show. I know we would all like to see this car in person. I can't help but wonder why GM doesn't want it to be seen again, or be seen as a Fiero? Again, GM get your head out of your a$$ and put this car back into production. Have a base, a GT and have a convertible option and you will sell some cars. I promise!

how did i just now get to see this?!? I've seen the other pics for it but I didn't really like it that much. If the car stays light I don't care if it looks heavy. The chop and lowering looks great. Hopefully they'll bring it back, but that just means everyone here is gonna have the make their older Fiero's outpreform the new ones =) Thanks for the pics!! --Bryson

Thanks Kameo, I got out of bed to check the forum and this is the first time I've seen this thread (was MIA for months and months). Even though I wasnt here back then I still got some pizza and a coke and went through every post to the very end...not to mention saving just about every picture posted
I for one hopes that GM does not release a new car that looks anything like this...let us loyal Fiero people have it all to ourselves Someone get cracking on the body kit, because I dont have the skills to do it yet (plan to learn in the army or while in the army). I would hate to see this car become another Focus that you see at every light. Just throw a kit on an old Fiero, put a 3800SC in and you'll be the **** .

I know I'll probably get thrown off the forum for this, but here goes. The pictures are GREAT!! but that is one UGLY prototype. What were they going for? The proportions are all wrong and it probably has the biggest blind spot of any car ever produced. I love Fiero's but PERSONALLY I think it's an unattractive car. Just my $.02 worth.
Yeah I do think the dark lexan was a really nice touch. Actually the Lamborghini Diablo Roadster, once you drop the top and place it on the deck lid won the car with the biggest blind spot ever. Myself, as long as I have my mirrors on the side screw everything else. Look at UPS drivers
