I have tried twice in the past week to register on the site and both times it would not go to the paypal portion. I guess it does not work with netscape. You may have two forms submitted for me plus the one I will be sending with the check in snail mail. Just wanted to let you know. Thanks! Kris A. Munson, Sr.

My girlfriend and I will probably be coming down, and since we're students and broke, we'll probably be camping at Pontiac Lake... sounds like a pretty nice place. LMK if everyone is staying somewhere else, I'd like to meet lots of other PFFers.

1. Hotel - I called to see availability. Thay said there are about 10-20 rooms left booked under the group. 20-30, maybe more, left in the hotel not booked by us. In other words, going fast!
2. Pontiac Lake camping - 110+ sites available. 15-20 miles from the hotel. 1-800-44-parks or 1-800-447-2757 for reservations. Tell the you're part of the Fiero group and they'll put us together. They said if the web site isn't working keep trying or call.

Id like to caravan up with some Ohio folks depending on departure time.

Yes, That one does look like a great place... Is there anything that may be a little closer to the show sight?? I think I saw somewhere it is 15-20 miles from the Marriott...

Sorry, thats the closest one but for $14 a night you can't beat it. The other hotels in the area are comparable in price before the group discount except for one which you DON'T want to stay at... Besides, there are some good back roads between the park and hotel and how often will you be away from the events?

I hate to be a pest but no one has replied to my repeated requests to find out approximately what time the Florida, Georgia, Tennesee group thinks they will be coming thru Cincinnati so I (and a few local club members) can join up.
Also, Bein' a cheap skate (isn't EVERYBODY who owns a Fiero somewhat cheap LOL) I'm planning on camping.
One of the best parts of this event will be caravaning up and back!
Please let me know if and when you guys (and gals) are coming through Ohio!

So my question is: how can we raise the awareness level to the majority of Fiero owners out there who have no clue about this (excellent) website or who do not happen to be tied in to some club?
I just wanted to post this down here AGAIN, as I want other's to think of way's we CAN pull off having 500 Fiero's there!! Spread the word... This IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME SHOW!! NEVER AGAIN ON THIS LEVEL... Well, maybe the 50th Celebration... Better store them Fiero's..hahaha But, serious... Think of way's and post them here...

Because of a recent thread concerning rude behavior at another car show, I suggest informing participants either vocally, or in writing that, profanity and loud music won't be tolerated, individuals will be removed from the show for non-compliance. Normally, I wouldn't make a suggestion like this, but after reading several pages of complaints it might be a good idea.

I hadn't thought of this, but my possible guest asked. "Banquet" sounds rather formal, but I would assume many people will just be hanging around, and basically going to the banquet from the show.
Is this a casual event, or should I bring my tuxedo?

Yes, that thread caused me to think that too. There will be an announcement coming, but a lesson to be learned might be that we should have it posted at the event as well. Thanks.

Here's how I answered that in an older thread:
quote
Be comfortable! Traditionally, I have noticed some very attractive dress in other event banquets. There will be all kinds of fashion at this one, so be yourself. Especially if you're traveling a long way to attend, you aren't expected to carry anything unnecessary in your Fiero.

I know I've bugged you before about payment, but do you accept credit card or debit card payment? I didn't notice it on the website, so I'm guessing no. If not, my money order will definately be on the way tomorrow.

Another question. What qualifies you to be in the 'work in progress' class? I should have my car painted, but not sure if the interior will be finished.

I was mainly wondering if your Fiero's appearance doesn't really look like a work in progress. I read it again, and I guess since I'll still be working on the interior, I'll be in the work in progress class. On my registration, I put that I'd be in one of the modified classes, so I guess that needs to be changed. Sorry about that.

Just made my hotel reservations. Better late than never. Right? The only nights they would honor the group rate are the 18th and 19th. They *did*, however, have rooms available at the regular rate, for the other nights. Go figure.
Anyone staying anywhere else, nearby?

Perhaps hand out a "Rules" sheet to the participants at the Registration Tables as they arrive.

Are confirmations being sent out either by snail or email? I wasn't sure and couldn't find anything in this thread about it, and wanted to check before the registration deadline.
I didn't put my car in the show, but at this point I'm planning on having it there. I did buy 2 banquet tickets and a t-shirt though. Should I expect those by mail, or will I need to pick them up at the show?
Sorry for all the questions Chuck. This is the first time I've registered for any type of Fiero event ever! You've been most helpful.
Edit: I should note that I paid by credit card via paypal on June 2.

Everything you need to know should be on the 20th website http://www.cfogi.org/anniversary.htm If you're not sure how much money to bring, bring some extra. There's always something unexpected on trips (for me anyway).

Check out that link. The registration deadline was extended to June 15. I believe you can just walk into the show, but I think I remember seeing that NO banquet tickets would be sold after June 15. I can't seem to find that little tidbit now though...
I got my registration confirmation the other day, and it says I'm in class K, custom. Just letting you know in case it got overlooked. I'll be in class U, the work in progress class. Thanks
