Has anybody ever thought about swapping in the 82-92 Firebird dash?

This is not a good picture, but this dash has huge, easy to read instruments. At least my 88 Firebird did. It also isn't quite as "stuck in the 80s" as the Fiero dash.
Since it's the same vintage, I'm thinking that the wiring may be similar, too.

I wouldn't think it to be much of an esthetical improvement over the Fiero dash. The gauges are rather larger, however, I never thought the Fiero gauges to be too small per say. I think it'd look cool but it certainly wouldn't improve the look of the interior much...but for the sake of doing it...it might be cool. I'd guess that it's probably much too large (width) to fit into the Fiero...probably would be a headache waiting to happen...if someone likes headaches...I’d like to see it in a Fiero

Good Luck

I'm betting that the 3rd gen firebird would swap in just about the same as the 4th gen. In other words I think it would fit just fine.

The Firebird of the same era as Fiero (82-88) did have better looking dashes. If you want something that is better looking without being overy dramatic it might be a good swap.

From a wiring standpoint I think 3rd gen would be easier than 4th gen. The Fiero to Firebird wire conversion would probably involve less color changes.

I think there was one forum member that either had done it or was thinkning about doing it. I'd like to see a picture.

If you find my advice useful, then please give me a positive rating, thanks...
