In 1985 did they make T-Top Fiero's? I found one here in London, with V6, standard and T-Tops. Small dealer is trying to tell me it was a factory option and is rare. I know they made them in 1988, but I did not think they did in 1985. He is asking 5900 canadian for it. it has 127,000km on it. Any thoughts?

Thanks
Donna K

Nope its not factory. But on the other hand who cares if its factory if its a proofessional job and works and looks good. ALthough 6000 is too much. Thats like what 8500 US dollars or5 something?

Thank you. This is what I thought. This dealer is trying to pass it off as a rare factory option. hahahahhaa! I know have the answer and can approach him with a much lower price.

Thanks

That's more like $4280 US (canadian dollars, not Euros... right?) Still pricey for the mileage.

T-tops were added to all years and all model Fieros using the same kit from Cars and Concepts as the factory authorized 1988 CJB coded cars.

In most cases the non-CJB t-tops were installed by C&C authorized shops if not the main C&C facility in Brighton Michigan. They are virtually identical.

Although the factory code carries some mistique among collectors even the aftermarket T-top Fiero is a rarity. It's estimated that only about 2,500 of the "aftermarket" t-tops were installed. Probably less than half of those survive to this day.
