Hey Steve , I can imagine how disappointed you are , haveing been rained out for both events .
Did the race track set a " Rain Date " for the missed race ? Or will you be able to pace another NASCAR race ?
The Dodge Daytona rims really set the Indy off . I picked up a set awhile back and plan on installing them on my little red coupe . It's nice to see them on your Fiero , looks like the actual rims on the'84 Indy .
Lookin Good !

Not exactly how I had hoped to have everyone here see the "new" look for the first time. But, I still think when it get's to finally be on the track "sometime" it will still be pretty special. Here are a few more:

WOW! that is one sweet mother of a car! did you see the other "hooked-up" indy on the deer red pics? its nice even though most people critized it, i love those indys, i have a magazine called Pontiac Enthusiast and it has an article on the fiero indy, and it said that the indy that ran in daytona in 84' had the 2.7 liter super duty aftermarket package, and that it was the fastest 4cyl. car to ever paced a race since 1912! wow! thats one heck of a car! and so is yours, niccceee i love it and let me tell you, seeing the original pace car in the mag' and comparing yours, it really really really looks like the real thing, rice burners look out! lol

Yeah, that is certainly different. I don't agree with modding up a rare Indy Fiero and would not do something like that myself, but to each his own I guess

Great looking car. The Daytona rims look sharp, especially to an "in the know" observer. I also like your door decal positioning, I'm getting ready to decal my Indy so It's nice to see some different pictures.

Thanks. I used many Indy Fiero images including pictures out of the Indy Pace Car history book to make sure that they were in the correct positions.

Well, we had a slight problem with the Indy. The rotor had a nice deep notch dug into it that was ruining the fairly new brake pad that was on it from before we got it. We never noticed that and it was never caughtwhen it was inspected last year. We didn't know until a few days before we got the rims and tires and I started hearing a squeek when I put on the brakes. So when we went to have the rims/tires replaced we took a close look at that side, and sure enough there was the problem. So yesterday my Dad went to fix it:
Now, it is supposed to be crappy Saturday, so probably no race again this week and also Sunday, so that will probably kill our plans to take the Indy to POCI RI show
We shall see.
