Your car is the bomb, but dangerously close to being overdone. There is something to be said for "more than meets the eye". It already looks trick. Any more mods should be behind the scenes. Think layers of the onion. You don't see everything at first glance, but it keeps gettin better the deeper you look.
I know you got several cars. Start another. Try a V8.

I'm with 88GTNeverfinished on this one... the cowl scoop is pushing it, and more stickers will just degrade the car. I realize that you put so much work into the car that it's hard NOT to advertise the awesome things you've done, but excessive badging is like throwing MSD and K&N stickers all over the outside of your car. Yes, it's fast. It already looks fast- let them find out for sure when they look under the hood, or see your taillights disappearing at a stoplight.
I say wait on the stickering. Wait until the shock of throwing an intercooler on has worn off, because people do strange things in the heat of the moment.
on the rear molding where the GT badge is, right before it I would put 3800 IC/SC and let people ask you what it means..
For the shows, there are a couple of ways to do it. First you could have whatever you come up with CNC'd into the valve cover or have a plate or badge made up the says it and attach it to the valve cover...
I'm not a big fan of telling the whole world what's under the hood when you setting next to them and planning on blowing there doors off..
"Intercooled/Supercharged" is just way too much lettering to keep it clean and neat on the outside of your car, (IC/SC) is as far as i would go.. and or you could replace the lettering in your door handle with (3800 IC/SC) and if your interested in the ingraving I know just the guy too..

Ski, your car looks great and I think excessive badging will only take away from the look of it. I also believe in the no advertising philosophy and letting others know what's under the hood on a need to know basis.
And I believe the only time they need to know is when they try to race you and you blow the doors off of their car. Then they know you have something special under the hood, but always keep them wondering just what it is.

I like the rocker panel engraved look, the window should be left alone in my opinion, just because it is such a beatiful engine, you really need the view to be un-disturbed. I think the valve covers is a good idea too. No window/hood/ANY DECALS on this car please, i would have to hurt you
Ok here's an off topic question, when the car is running and it might be drizzling or sprinkling or you get caught in the rain, is it really hard to get that engine window clean afterwards. Im just thinking that it would evaporate and leave mineral deposites on the window that would be a pain in the arse to get cleaned off!
So, rocker panels and valve covers
------------------ REMEMBER: If you cant win the race you loose the argument!!
Intercooled supercharged 3.8 is a mouthful, and would be too long-and I think even SC supercharged anywhere on the outside of the car would look cluttered and not as tasteful, I like the way your car looks just the way it is-it's simple with tasteful mods-no need to overadvertise...I vote for etching/painting the valve cover as shown above

Wow, tough crowd here. I appreaciate all the opinions. Both the for and against the idea. It is a tough decision and like I said I have been aware of my intercooler plans for months and still have not decided. I have run a few ideas past Fierographixs and Joe Torma a long time ago. (yep they knew too)

Savagery that is good advise. Decals would not be permanent anyway. I still like the ideas I have not mentioned yet but I wanted to see what you guys would say. Keep the ideas rolling if you have them. Thanks

Good question. I have had the window made several different ways though the years. Below the fiberglass, flush, 1/2 out with a angled edge and now it is above the fiberglass. With the tempered glass it had to be this way. I explained all that to explain the answer. The glass is not flat. It is curved from side to side about a 1/4 inch from the center. Therefore the water runs off for the most part. This mounting system keeps the window the cleanest by far. I prefer the flush look but liked real glass so it was a compromise. The one interesting thing I have found is that the bottom of the glass stay very clean.

Upon further thought, I now agree with the majority that stickers on the outside of the car isn't the way to go. Too tacky...
Although the valve cover idea is neat, I don't know if I'd engrave into the cover itself since (correct me if I'm wrong) the Series II engine's valve covers are made of injection molded thermoplastic and not aluminum like the Series I motors. Engraving into a plastic valve cover may cause it to crack over time from the thermal stresses it undergoes over time and that wouldn't be good!!! Even if you would go with decals, having that writing on the valve cover would only be mainly visable with the decklid up...the cover isn't really visable through the window right?
Here is my proposal (and I think it's a pretty good one). How about making an aluminum plate like one of these:
In a brushed almunum finish though, not black like above...and engrave it with something custom like this previous proposal:
and put it here:
(where the arrows are pointing...the grey space on the supercharger represents the plate since my paint program sucks)
That would be visable through the decklid window AND readily visable during shows. And it would be sorta factory-like since GM did that with throttle body emblem plates on their Tuned Port Injection V8's and so on.

Etch the rear window, not the engine window. If you get tired of the look, the window's removable and get a new one! (or have a couple for different situations...hmmmm :lookout: )

Yes she is, but that's not really a subject for this board Glad you like it. She does that for a living (graphic arts). If you want the big version let me know and I can send it to you. Suitable for printing. Do you have a preferred file format?

Yes I would like a bigger version. JPG format would be fine. Email it to me at skitime@ptd.net I am hoping to use it as a poster type thing for a show this weekend at the GM Nationals. Thanks a lot!

Ski I can get it done in Vinyl (sp?) for you. Let me know what size you want (Inches X Inches) and I'll get a cost I imagine it's cheap, since the guy that does this stuff I know owes me lots.

take supercharged off the door handle. CNC something like 3800 Supercharged/intercooled into the side scoops with your lite system like your headlite doors
