Ok I can get Mr Mike seat covers for 430 or have a shop redo them in cloth for 380. The leather looks good but since I don’t have AC in my car will they be too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. Then there is time involved to install them and the possibility of me messing them up.
If you have done them and have them in your car please help me decide. I’ve got some free space still left on my credit card.

put seat covers on? thats what i did for the mean time, i personally think fiero seats are about one of the most uncomfortable seats ever made....well next to my blazer's.. for the same price of mr mikes you can get something like im thinking about some racing style seats, like sparco's or ricaro's, tenzo-R's or momo's... they will give alot more side bolster support then a stock fiero seat will

Leather is not vinyl, it breathes. It gets raging hot here and I don't find them uncomfortable at all. Use a windsheild sunshade to keep the sun from beating on them.
Can't really tell you about in the cold, but I would imagine they would warm up pretty quick with your ass on em.
If it's only a $50 between cloth and MRMikes, that's a pretty easy decision to make.
You would really have to try to mess em up on the install. You get a video that could show a chimp how to do them.

For $430 I got these. They are more supportive and snug than the stock seats. I had considered the Mr Mikes seats. He includes the tool and hardware needed, plus a video, to install his seat covers. I have seen them in person and they are great. I am not crazy about leather seats myself so I went a different way. You can get racing seats pretty cheap off Ebay.

I have installed a set of Mr. Mike's leather seat covers, and it's not that difficult. The video is pretty good, and includes evrything you need to do the job. The only suggestion I would have would be to get a really good pair of hog ring pliers....the one that comes with the seat covers is ok....but I had it slip quite a bit. But, I'd order another set of covers in a heartbeat. They are very well put together, and very comfortable.

not to go off topic, but can anyone tell me where i can get seatbelt pads like this?
Someone on hte forum made some. I think they sold them all. If anyone knows of another supplier, let us know (I need some now that I have some $)
To get back on topic. I love the comfortability (word?) of the Fiero seats. I am going with a set of Mr. Mikes when I get done with fixing the rest of my interior.

Go with Mr. Mikes. No question about it. The video is complete. It took me about 2 hours for the first seat, then less than 1 hour for the second one. I also got his leather sun visors. Come by and look at them if you want....Paul

I built well over half a million, yes that many seats, while @ JCI for GM. Leather is the easiest to put on.Just make damn sure the lines(stitches)in the seat cushion are within 5mm of the back cushions or it will look like crap. Held on with "J" arrow snaps...a real breeze compared to the hog ring ones. Red

I am the one who did a group purchase twice for seatbelt pads. I had them made at: www.beltface.com

looks like i've decided to go with the mr mikes. i was tempted for a moment on the race seat idea, but i just like the look and feel of the factory seats too much.
so with two tone, speaker holes, fiero logo and shipping i just plunked down another 488.00 on Ling

I must say that Mr mike is being very patient with me and my credit card company, he’s tried 3 or 4 times to run it through his machine and been on a few phone calls with me, not to mention a 30 minutes on the phone with my credit card company to get it authorized. My stupid card has about 6000 of credit available but I still had to get in their ass mostly because they were rude to Mike when he called them.
Anyway, I cant wait to get them and I’m almost over the shock of spending that much money. I’m sure I’ll be completely happy with my decision once I get them installed.

Ah couldn't disagree with you more. I think my GT seats are very comfortable and never get tired of sitting in them. IMO...but Sparcos are nice, I sat in Kameo's and are great. A bad seat to sit in is a Dodge Neon (ouch)

Isn't Mr. Mikes seats just replacement covers? Cause on my fiero, there's a top layer that comes off. I'd go with Mr. Mikes. Cause DAYUM they are Hot...not as in heat hot, but as in girls be up in your isht checkin you out boya!
Just another vote for Mike... good product. Used some Fiero seats in my Checy truck, sent him the leather to match the interior (crimson), and they are awesome. Holding up much better than the factory leather in my vette. (The truck seats are now three years old, and still look like new.)
Am I the only one here that hates the hot in summer/cold in winter feel of leather car seats? Leather LOOKS better, true, but cloth is SO much nicer to sit on.
Recently sold a Caddy and it had a cheap cloth cover on the seat so my wife could stand to sit in the drivers seat.
To get the pop out of the cloth seat simply dump some more water on it and shop vac it dry.

i have a good upper 84 SE cover GREY (the one with the stripes running down the center)
and a good upper and lower 85 GT set GREY that i am donating to the fiero farm for all of his contributions. so if you need them you may want to contact Todd.

I would say that it all depends on the look you want with your Fiero. Do you want to stay pretty much original/stock? If so then either get a good set of used ones to replace the worn ones you have now or have them redone. If you don't care about staying stock, then Mr. Mikes seats can't be beat. I believe he also includes extra padding so your seats are much more firm and have better support. Remember that these seats are getting to be 20 years old so they are not as firm and true to fit as they were when the car was brand new. As some here have allready mentioned, there are many alternatives including other seats from out of other cars as well as racing style seats. We got these for Jordans on sale at Carquest for $189. for the pair:
Hey Buddy, What do you want for that 84 SE upper seat cover? I could use one. Is it the pop soaked one?
tstroud
well i already told todd that he could have it so i left voice mail with him asking what ind of price he would want.
it's very clean but does have about 1 inch along the outer bolster (right side) that is seperating. but if you put it on the drivers seat it would now be on the inner side and a repair would hold up very well.
