For those that cannot make it to Michigan, I have a "live" camera pointed at the parking lot here in Michigan, taken from the 5th floor of the hotel. The camera will take a new picture every 5 minutes. The URL to view the pics is: http://boomtastic.com/gallery/
Wish you could be here - you're missing what is already shaping up to be a GREAT time!!!
great idea Boomtastic! I will be there tomorrow to enjoy it! also did you bring your car? I wanted to see it? lmk and thanks, hopefully I will see you friday or saturday and get to chat a little, thanks!
Thanks for the video feeds, Eric! I KNEW I'd be disappointed I couldn't come...but sitting here last night, thinking about all the people on the road, and all those that have already arrived, just validated that disappointment. Enjoy Michigan...and then, it's time to start planning for next year's event!

Yep, my pro street is here, and yep - y'all are missing an incredible time so far. I pulled into the lot at 12:15am last night and there had to have been at least 50 Fieros there with about half their owners chit chatting with everyone. I didn't get to bed until 3am! YAHOO!!!
OH! And I must say that photo credit goes to MsBeth, who happily took 99.9% of all these pictures and videos while I played in George Ryan's white "#1" 'Cadero'. I got to run a session (what a rush!!) and then was the sole Pace Car for the last few sessions. Thanks to both George and Beth (before I forget! ).

Sorry, no sponsor girls yet, but plenty of cute Fiero owners! Keep checking my pics - some may turn up in them (esp. on Saturday) ..

hummm looks a little low turn out, but I guess not everyone is there yet huh?
Correct. Saturday will be the 'big day'. Right now many smaller events are going on, so people are everywhere. (Some are doing the Woodward Ave cruise right now, for instance ..)

P.S. give blakenspace(Blake Moore) some ribbing for me please!
Aye aye, although I think he's still recovering from Waterford.

Hey Boom...Thanks for posting the pictures, really appreciated. I was just a little to busy today to take any, if you know what I mean! Enjoyed looking your car over today, it's going to be one heck of a ride!!!!
Great pictures & video Boombastic. Can't tell you how much we appreciate you posting them. Quick loading, clear-not as good as being there I'm sure, but next best thing!! Good job!!!

You're all welcome - it's my pleasure! I'm working on larger pictures now from the webcam. Maybe I can yield some more clarity. (This Logitech isn't the best camera for distance, but I forgot to bring the patch cables for the camcorder ..)
(Edited: No dice on the larger pics. You just get larger, grainer pics. Oh well, I tried.)
Stay tuned! (Saturday will be a picture uploading frenzy! )

Well, if anything *does* happen, we've got it recorded, now haven't we? Might be a little grainy, but it's somethin!

I realize it's a road couse, but what's the fastest mph you've seen?
Personally, I saw 70+ MPH while driving George's Cadero (during the straights), but you have to let off *quick* as the turns are "right there". I haven't heard any other speeds except for CA Kid (who is rumored to have hit 100), but I'll do some asking.

I *PROMISE* to have some better, higher quality pics from the same viewpoint (5th floor of the hotel) once things get rolling tomorrow. I'll also have a lot of pics from ground-level as well, and will post continously throughout the day.
Just got back in from the drag races .. pics to follow shortly! (Same URL as posted above - http://boomtastic.com/cfogi ) Gotta run to WalMart first. Silly me forgot my cleaning supplies ...

Geez man. I just got done watching the videos of you guys at Waterford.
All I have to say is, why the hell is everyone driving like a freaking grandma on a sunday cruise?? Everyone is just kind of taking their time around the track.
I mean how many people say that a Fiero should be driven hard and if I was on a racetrack I would but I dont' want to on the street. Then you get on a track and still act like you are in a God D@mn Macy's day parade!! That sh!t pisses me right off!! Once again most people just talk.
"Fieros are awesome on a track and handle well in the twisties" Yet I see people taking their dandy ole times around the corners barely rolling the body or squeeling a tire. Give me a break. I would be driving the living p!ss out of my car if I had it up there.
I applaud Cali kid for actually pushing his car. Yea he went off the track but he was at least driving it the way it should have been driven on that racetrack. Everyone else seemed to have their right foots chopped off. This is all based on what I saw in the videos.
I mean come on people. Get with it. THis was your chance to go balls to the wall and you didn't. What a damn shame.
And am I wrong or did CrazyD and his badass v8 car setup for autocross not run there? I didn't see his car in any of the pics. He not backup any of his big talk again??

I just got home from the show, I took about 60 decent pics while I was down there, ends up being about 8 megs (7.75, I think). Anybody who wants me to file trnsfer them over AIM, IM me
New Pics from Milan are being uploaded now, as well as some shots of the parking lot, etc. (I'll have video from the camcorder once I get back home, where the patch cable is awaiting me.)
Enjoy!

I am having a blast at this event. Got to ride the Waterford hills track with Raydar. His 3.4 performed well on the track. Rode with Fiero38sc during the Woodward cruise. Can't wait to see the prototypes. They were not here as of late Friday night. Paul
