As the title says I need Help Designing a New V-8 Archie T Shirt.

I can't draw or illustrate worth a darn.

I'm looking for submissions of original characterizations that depict an image of a Fiero with a V-8 in it. We need original artwork that would be suitable for Silk Screening. We don't want you to submit artwork that has been borrowed from someone else. The contributor has to be the originator of the design and if his design is chosen must submit a letter stating that it is of his original design. You see, I don't want to make a couple of Gross of T shirts & then find out that I have a non-original design.

The winner of this design contest will be given $100.00 plus 6 of the shirts when they are finished.

We'll do this kinda like we did the name the car thread where you all named the LT1 Stinger.

You can submit your designs by posting them to this thread.

A Week from today, my wife and I will pick 6 of them that we like.

Then you all will have a week (or two) to vote for our winner from those 6.

Ok, let's see what you've got.

Archie

A nice 3800 with 2 pistons taped to the side would be nice.

Archie,
DO you have a prefference as to what Fiero you want?

IE: A notchback, fastback, modified, choptop, etc. . .

Would multiple cars in the design be okay?
Basically is it all hell break loose or are there some guidlines to follow?

How many colors are you willing to do, or is this a full color process?

I have no preference as to what Fiero. Just as long as anyone looking at it can clearly see that it is a Fiero body.

Multiple cars would be ok too.

Please feel free to let all hell break loose (except that I don't want Purple).

I was figuring on full color process.

Thanks

Archie

OKay now that all hell is breaking loose, are you going to need color seperation or just a straight design and let the printers worry about how they are going to transfer the image to the material of the shirt?

I don't have the time to do a real rendering right now, but I do have an idea for your shirts Archie. I was working on a rear view of my Lab Rat project when I saw your thread and this idea hit me.

I figure it would be best done from a rear view of one of your chop top cars, to show what I assume is your biggest two products. I used this one just to "paint the picture".

The particulars are, V8 conversion (of course) showing through busted out deck lid. The symbolism is that the swap is so powerful it blew a hole in the lid. Chop top, V8 Archie license plate, etc.

this is nice, if you would make the car bigger and sharper, blur the car in the letters instead of out of then.. i think that it would look really nice..

WAIT!!!

Get a pic of the Stinger from a similar angle (looking down at the engine). That way it is a true V8-Archie product. Like I said I just used that one to show my idea since I was already working with it.

Collaborative effort 'eh, if we win do we each get an Archie shirt and a Happy Meal

well Archie do you have or can you get a shot like "sleeper's" from WCF for the design?? take two one with the hood up and one with it down and then someone could do a fade with the hood down to show the V8 under it.. that would be cool

Woody your so close but so missing it with your logo.. first off the only people that would know that was a Fiero is us.. the car is covered up by all the lettering and the door is open on that shot of stinger, find one from a different angle that doesn't cover up the front like this

I know you don't understand signage but try this, don't cover up the product with the name of the store, the lettering shouldn't cover up more than a quarter to a third of the car..and there too busy wish i had more time to through something into the mix.. well just my $.02 worth

I would do a design with both the Fino and Finale coming together nose to nose from the sholders towards the center like a v shape. and superimpose a SBC engine slightly above. Put "V8" above the engine and "Archie" below. For the back just a picture of the Stinger. Wish I know how to draw.

I got an idea, maybe someone who's good with photoshop could do it. Take a picture of the Stinger from that same rear sky kind of angle ons pic with the decklid closed and one with it open and maybe someone who's really good with photoshop could somehow blend them so that it looks see through just where the engine is, to show the V8, then add V8 ARCHIE in some cool letters and it'll own!

basically the same thing perkidelic said, just in different words
I'd do this but I dont have the photoshop skills, so maybe someone else can.

Whoever wins, could you put the graphic on BOTH the front and back of the T-Shirt. I hate paying 20 to 25 bucks for a t-shirt that only has one graphic on it, oh a nice heavy weight quality t-shirt would be nice, something that will last.
