Voytek: I saw you take off on 23 North (coming from Milan). It was really hard to keep up with you at times! LOL

All of you running turbos: Why did you choose to go turbo over other options such as swaps, strokers, NOS, etc.? It's interesting to see all the great alternatives to swaps.

Well I sold my NX nitrous kit to pay for my turbo. The nitrous was GREAT, but it was time for something new..

Besides, I had the kit for one summer and went through around 20 bottles. After spending around 1000 for nitrous, the boost bottle gets more and more appealing.

Certainly seems like a nitrous craze around here, but also a recent DYI Turbo craze also. Is the forum just reporting this, or fueling it?

Nitrous is cheap to install. We are all cheap.

DIY Turbo: That is a tricky one. Certainly can be done for cheap, if you have the right sources. I think it has more to do with the fact that people want to put together thier own kit and gain experience by doing it. This also ensures that person is getting only the parts they want in the install (be it quality, brand, or otherwise).

i donno how efficient it is, but Porshce has had a very similar design since they introduced the 911 in the 60s or 70s... whenever it was... heh... now porsches design was a whale tail spoiler that pushed the air down to an intercooler (on the turbo models, atleast)... i think thats how it works... hehe... donno much about porsches...

I went with a Vortech centrigal SuperCharger and am very happy with the results. I haven't been to the track yet, but have given rides to Voytek, Kameo Kid and California Kid to get their impressions.
All gave the combination a "thumbs up"!

Here is my setup.

I have a little more space than most. The pipes go to an intercooler that sits just in front of the rear lights and is fed by a large scoop just above it.

I also have an oil cooler on the other side. Slowly but surely it's getting there.
