Anyone ever think of blending the headlight doors into the hood so it looks like they were never there, and putting a set of lights in the GT signal light area? has this been done?

I doubt if that would be legal in the US... Your headlights have to be a certain height above the road to be legal... If you
re not worried about legal though, it would probably look cool.

Certainly not legal in Ontario. If you do it don't go into T.O. (or lots of other spots) without your chequebook.

I like this look with the Sunfire lights. They might even pass as legal. Mounting the lights lower on the fascia would surely be too low and just be asking to be pulled over for a violation.

I give you:

The 2002 Florida Statutes

Title XXIII
MOTOR VEHICLES Chapter 316
STATE UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL View Entire Chapter

316.220 Headlamps on motor vehicles.--

(1) Every motor vehicle shall be equipped with at least two headlamps with at least one on each side of the front of the motor vehicle, which headlamps shall comply with the requirements and limitations set forth in this chapter, and shall show a white light. An object, material, or covering that alters the headlamp's light color may not be placed, displayed, installed, affixed, or applied over a headlamp.

(2) Every headlamp upon every motor vehicle shall be located at a height of not more than 54 inches nor less than 24 inches to be measured as set forth in s. 316.217.

And 316.217 Says

(3) Whenever requirement is hereinafter declared as to the mounted height of lamps or devices, it shall mean from the center of such lamp or device to the level ground upon which the vehicle stands when the vehicle is without a load.

Hope this clears up those of us in FL
On my 87 2m4 24" is where the Nose and hood meet so if you mounted them in the Facia you would be below 24" and not fully legal. But then again if you have a Vaild License, Tags, and Insurance you are doing better than 90% of the others that live here
