I know, I know--I have been part of the NTFC for almost three years now and havent made it to a meet yet. But of course I have good reasons, before I got deployed to SA for the year,I worked shift work. Since the meets are the same every month(3rd weekend of every month)that was one of the two weekends I had to work every month. And now that the goverment owns me for the year, I never know when I am going to get off. I will try to make it to one of the meetings in the near future.I will be doing the 3.8 swap soon and would like your input of several differant things.
Revin, Just let me know when you get done with the small project you are working on. We will set a date when we are both free and I will come your way for that ride.

no problem Steve-come with or without the GT. I well know what it's like to get a lot of things done on a limited time frame & budget. So does everyone else.

Scared of the cones? How do ya think the guy in the hat takin a picture felt when you made the hard left? You came waaaayy too far around before you straightened up. ya sure both of you weren't blindfolded? "whut the heck am I doin out here? The driver's blindfolded!!"
[This message has been edited by maryjane (edited 08-04-2003).]
I'm still tryin to find some unsuspecting poor soul to get in the car with Jane while she's blindfolded so she can practice. I think this yer, we should do it with one person in the car, and the directions are sent by walkie talkies. gotta look at those brakes someday.....

For those who didn't make it last year, here's a little encouragement:
There's mine on the left with the badly mismatched paint (among other problems). It looks a lot different now. I'll have to see how things go before I sign up this year. If the event was closer that would help, but you can't have everything your way.

Hey kevin... you should cut that middle piece out of your front spoiler and glass in some teeth around the edges... atleast then you'd have a reason to run into the cones... your fiero was hungry
Oh... and just wait until I join spokes... i'll bet i can beat your cone-hitting record on my first day
-Daniel
[edited because i realized i wrote teach instead of teeth... maybe i should wait until i'm awake to post, eh?]

Just registered, so add one more... It may be a miracle if we have a room though, I don't put much confidence in the woman answering the phones at Tejas Village...

JohnF and I just got back from the scouting trip. We set up a fairly decent itenerary and cruise route with the little time we had available.
The Tejas Village is small, and its parking lot is not conducive to 'Rodeo Games'
Also they had 10 hotel rooms available, after that they have 8 cabins that cost 15.00 more $$. And then I think there is a house or something.... What I am saying here is that if you want to go cheap, call and get you a reservation NOW.
Due to a semi-lack if interest, John and I figured there would not be more than 18 rooms needed. If there are, we have a backup site. When I say lack of interest, here is what I mean... we only have a few that are promising going:
Me & Jennifer Johnf Revin/cardealer/Smooth = cabin Loyde Bosuch Chuck
That makes 5 room + 1 cabin = not much interest. Can we fill this place up? If we overflow, that would not be good. We really need to now if Tejas Village will be big enough or are we gonna need the backup plan!
O.K. all, you must make your reservations no later than 6 Sept. to guarantee the room for the RRRR. IF we haven't gotten 10 reservations by then, the rooms will no longer be held for us.
You DO NOT actually put up any money to reserve the room (or cabin). A valid credit card is used to guarantee the reservation. NO CHARGES will be placed on the credit card until the room is actually used or is not cancelled NLT 17 Oct.
We have a fun day for Saturday, Oct 18 fully planned. We have also reserved a banquet facility (and arranged the menu offerings at a very reasonable cost) in the heart of Jefferson for Sat. night. Even though there is no official CFOG plans for Sunday, it is the day the "Taste of Jefferson" street celebration for those who want to participate.
There is a good cruise, state park tour, paddle boat ride, a poker run and dinner all arranged. Details will be published shortly as they are finalized.
Call NOW to reserve your room(s). We need ten room reserved.
After a gathering at Tejas Village Saturday morning, it is anticipated that we will leave on a cruise approximately 11:30 a.m. and have a lunch in Jefferson shortly thereafter before continuing on our cruise about the area fro the afternoon activities.
Don't miss out!!!!!! I'll see you there (and I have made my reservation BTW).
