I will not go into this discussion again. Extra moderators will not lighten my burden. If anything, it will increase it. I can see it now: tons of messages about the different moderators all using their own interpretation of the rules. Tons of emails in my inbox asking to moderate a moderator. Tons of PM's telling me moderator so-and-so sucks because he did this-and-that.
I've said it many times before already: this forum is mostly self-moderating. If you can't handle the responsibility, and subsequently the forum becomes a mess, then it's your fault. Not because it's under-moderated.
If this forum needs to be moderated heavily, then I'd rather close it right away. Because really, I don't want such a forum.
But I'm afraid it will be inevitable anyway. The damage has already been done. The community has already been devided. Yesterday I checked out that other forum and there's already discussions going on about "PFF sucks, this is much better, yadidaa, yadidaa". There are two camps already.
And the mess on the other forum has already started. Apparantly, some people have signed up using my name, and using other well-known PFF names (while they are really someone else) and are already trying to stir things up.
If that is the point of that other forum then I'm not willing to take that route. I'd close down this forum and tell you all to go there instead, if that's what they want.
Anyway, I am closing this thread now because I'm getting pretty disgusted with the whole situation.
