I just wanted to get everyone's opinion... If you were going to look for a Muscle car to fix up and show... in addition to your fiero... what would you look for?
Me? I don't know... was thinking an old 60's Camero or a Charger... but I was not around then... so I don't really know enough to really pick one.
thanks,

Blue 72 Chevy Nova 4dr My dad had one, I think he wants another now. Be interesting to see what it looks like, he claims there aren't any pictures, though my grandparents have a closet full of something called "slides"
A 67 or 68 Camaro, 6 speed, 502/502 crate eng, 4 wheel disc, the usual stereo with 12c/d changer. I could go on and on but we have better things to do like work on our Fieros.

Dunno about it being a W-30, but My stepdad owns a 70 Olds 442 that we are gonna start restoring here soon!

W-30 should have the ram air and I believe W-30 on the side of the hood scoops. My uncle has a 1970 W-30, he bought it new off the showroom. The thing is flawless, original orange paint, white drop top, white stripes. He doesn't wax it and cleans it regularly and it's stored in a heated garage. I love seeing that thing and watching the rear twist when he revs it in park.
Either a '69 Firebird, or a '72 Trans Am. Lucerne Blue, if it's a T/A, and maybe Liberty Blue with a parchment interior if it's a Firebird (preferably a convertible).
Since there are so few 72 TA's, I'm tempted to get a '72 Firebird and build a clone. That way I can mod the crap outta it and not worry about originality.
428 or 455 Tri-Power, with Edelbrock Aluminum Heads and a 6-speed anyone?

thanks,
Yeah, born too late, huh? If you were a bit older, you'd know it was Camaro and not "Camero" (sorry, couldn't resist)

Dude, I can't believe you owned a 70 Boss 302...what was it like to drive? I would love to have a Boss too
It was probably the fastest car of all the ones I've owned. It handled really well...not like our Fieros, by any stretch of the imagination, but compared to the cars of the day, it was quite an automobile. I LOVED the engine sounds, from idle to WOT. I drove a 67 Mustang convertible in high school(it was my dad's car), and MY first car was a 70 Mach 1...351 Cleveland, automatic. I've also had an 84 Mustang GT, along with a 65 Factory Hipo 289 4 speed hardtop, and a couple of plain jane 67 coupes.

DarkRain, the "Big" Boss was a 429, not a 428, and it was really only good for straightline performance. The engine was actually built for NASCAR, and the put it into the Mustang body to get the required number for homologation (sp?). I had the opportunity to buy the 2nd 1969 Boss 429 off the assembly line...the guy that owned it had the documentation from KarKraft and Ford. How much did he want? $3500. Of course, this was in 1974, and I had JUST bought my Mach 1...and couldn't afford to own both cars. I passed, and a friend of mine bought it. He recently turned down an offer of $40,000 for it...

Actually, I really just want that powertrain in something, I don't really care if it's in a Regal or not. I know an older gentleman who put one into his El Camino! With a 100 shot of nitrous, it puts down almost 400 HP
