Well, bad news. Not going to finish it. The custom stuff I'm doing, although not much, is just very time consuming. I didn't think it would take as long as it has. I'm kinda bummed out, but at least I won't be rushing it. I might even add a couple things I wanted to do before.
I'm going to try to find a shop locally that will let me use their paint booth. There's a few places I know of that I think will let me.

I did manage to get the door jams and underneath the hood painted black. It came out a little shiney, but it looks a lot better than it did. No gold and primer overspray anymore.

I figured I better give an update so this thread doesn't get archived.

That's how it sits as of today. I'm going to have to work hard to get finished by the 20th Anniversary. So the next update will be there at the show. I don't know how far I'll get by then. Maybe someone can take some better pictures than I can

Time for an update, as a few people have asked about my progress.
Didn't get it finished for the 20th show, but at least it was all one color...primer gray!
I didn't want to rush it and have a bunch of flaws, because I know it would bug me.
Here's a few pictures I took today. They're not the best pics, because I didn't feel like moving my car at the time

Also been doing some work on the interior. It's slowly on the way to becoming gray and black. It started off the stock tan interior (I'm sure most of you know what that looks like).

I have chosen Nissan 350Z blue as the color, because I love how bright and pretty it is
Planning on painting the trim body color and see how I like it, and change it later if I don't.

You can typically get the code by stopping by any paint supplier and browsing their color guides/catalogs... or you could as "jeremymarsh"

Hey cool, people are still interested

The steering wheel I got as a Christmas present, but it was bought from www.nopionline.com
Go there then click Custom Interior --> Steering Wheels --> Isotta --> Stratos

Then click on one of them to show a bigger picture. Same with the shift knob. It's the 'Isotta' brand also, but I forgot which model it is.

And about the paint code. It will be different for every brand. I'll be using Dupont ChromaOne, so if you want the code for that, I can get it for you. I think the price was around $55 a quart, but not completely sure on that.

Back from the dead. I'm about to start working on my Fiero again. I enrolled in some evening auto body classes in hopes to get the rest of the body work finished, and get the car painted. The next 12 weeks are going to be busy. Stay tuned...
