I'm happy that this was able to happen. Sorry that I live on the other side of the world, or I'd have tried to be there.
Chris, I know all about losing an alternator. You chose the best option. Mine died about 150 miles south of Detroit (on the way back to Atlanta). I discovered that you can drive a long way on the battery, but not 600 miles.

My drive home was great...about 15min...lol Did he lose the alternator or Just the belt? But that was a great show! The weather was perfect. The timing turned out great, today is back to 107 outside Those were the coolest three day all summer and the only rain we have seen...lol And for the people who didn't go because of it being in a parking garage.....if it rains(Any show).....you get no sun and a very spotted car. So where would you rather be?

Funny you should mention that. The thing which was agreed upon at the Round Table meeting in Michigan is nearly ready and will be started very soon. And that's not all. A new dawn may be approaching for the Fiero world.
Okay Chuck what give's?

Hey Dave... Steve wants your guyses phone number, if that's okay, so the next time he gets upto Vegas, you guys can sit in the bar until wee hours of the dawn again. And the other thing that was kewl.. Is I guess your woman is identical to mine in the aspect of giving Tenessee pointers on women! She has been trying to hook him up, and tell him which women she likes, that would be kewl for him, etc., but he's just too shy.. Maybe we should get the two women together to pick someone up for steve, introduce them, etc., to show Steve how much he can have a good time!

It was nice to meet you and Kim. I'm glad you had a good time, thanks for coming.
p.s. - I'm especially glad you found the bra.
Yeah it was cool to meet some more Fiero lovers, finally put some faces to the names\and cars. Kim and I can't wait to the next one. I just got promoted to Vice-Pres. and Kim to Recruiter, at the Las Vegas Fiero Club here, so next time the members here won't miss it .....well at least they will know about it And remember if anyone needs parts we have over 50 Fieros now(just got some more)
Yo Chuck, Lenora and all the rest of you party animals from the vegasfest just wanted to say we had a great time. I am just glad that what happens in vegas stays in vegas ( you guys know what i mean. But one correction the 88 formula had only 2050 miles not 3000 and of those miles almost 600 were him driving it to vegas. peace out Greg and Leslie

Ha ha ha.. I thought about putting that picture into Photoshop, doing a bit of blur editing, then posting it up here letting people see what they missed! But DAMN the whole shot would end up being blur!!! Those were a couple big sets of twins, and that would definately take a lot of bluring! ha ha..
What happend to you guys!? We figured that you two took off, when we were up counting the votes, you said you would either call or come back by, but we never saw you guys again! You should have stayed and hit the strip with us that nite. Boy.. Steve would have REALLY loved to be hanging out and getting pointers from two beautiful women instead of one! Me and Lenora were already asleep, because of my nephews, and I know that most people there wanted to hit the bars and stuff, so we took them back - we can goto Vegas anytime, but most people there can't just up and get off work for the weekend, so...
Definately though.. Greg & Leslie, Dave & Kim, Neal, and everyone else that we met out there. We had a killer of a time, and we really hope that we can all keep in contact with each other. Dave & Kim, so when we all goto Vegas. Greg & Leslie, for the Phoenix area. Actually, Lenora and I are planning on hitting Phoenix next weekend, so you should email us at fieroprereg@yahoo.com, and give us your address. All I can tell you, is the street her friend lives on starts with an "M". That should narrow it down a bunch, huh!
Have fun, all!

Our wine country drive is next Saturday. Not a big deal event, so I don't know if it's worth coming from SoCal, but you're always invited.
Songman was talking about a drive up the coast, around Big Sur, this fall.
Kameo Kid is planning a trip to L.A. to check out his project car. Maybe a BBQ is in order?
I was going to do a trip to Mt. Shasta to scout a location for the "combined show", but the Northwest folks hosed us. They said they'd like to do a Mt. Shasta show in June, but they plan to do their regular show in addition. I don't see the point of doing the Mt. Shasta show if they still do theirs, the attendance would be divided. So this idea is isn't working out. The next question is, where do we want to do the WestFest next year?
The possibilities are endless.

Just remember Vegas is ALWAYS open. Even if we had a power outage like the east coast all the casinos have backup power. NOTHING WILL SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN WAHAHAHAHAHA.
Go to the beach & have us fiero people rent a bunch of atvs then relax with the tour of hearst castle....We could work out some sort of deal at the Cambria Pines Lodge for all of us to stay at

There is a Best Western Courtesy Inn that is 3 miles South of Hearst Castle in San Simeon that we always go to. They always host lots of car gatherings, mostly because they have a great parking lot I think. We have been there for Corvette and Miata gatherings. This picture shows one side of their 3 sided parking lot. You can see that the beach is just across the highway...
Just a few miles South of here is the town of Cambria, home of the Main Street Grille that has a big outdoor dining area perfect for this type of gathering... not to mention the best BBQ ribs on the coast!
And just a few miles South of Cambria is Morro Bay which has some great scenery as well... plus there is some night life there for if anyone wants that. Oh! There is a place right next to the motel in San Simeon that has entertainment and karaoke too...
Of course, the fun stuff is the curvy road up the coast to the North. All sorts of great scenery including light houses, cool bridges, magnificent vistas of the Pacific Ocean... It's a nice drive up to Carmel. I've always figured we could run up to Carmel and have lunch/dinner, then head back South. There is always the chance of running into Clint Eastwood in Carmel... Bonus!!!
The area makes for a great gathering, in my opinion. Plus, if anyone is interested, it is a short drive to Paso Robles for some wine tasting.
Originally posted by Songman: OH! If anyone remembers the CA sunset pic I posted a while back... It was taken directly across the street from the motel.
Hell, I'm sold. When do we leave?

Hey Songman, the car is running great. No more wagging of the tail-end when I rump on the gas....total hook-up now. After the Vegas-fest I went everywhere and did'nt see not one fiero (2,600 miles total). I got the Caddie's instrument pod wired-in, but it's not bolted-in yet. I'm waiting for the Audi TT parts so that I can get them fiberglassed-in. I have new pictures of the outside of car but... I don't know how to post them. Maybe I could E-mail them to you. Oh yeah, before I forget, there was a souped-up 427 elcamino(misspelled sorry)I think, who wanted too race me onto the on hwy. on ramp. I know something was up when he waited for me as I exited the gas station. Before my car was next to him, he rumped on the gas....the nerve! Anyway I compleyed. As i passed him (maybe 70 or 80 mph) he just smiled.

I've been discussing next year's WestFest with our organizing group, and the problem of the Northwest folks doing their show as scheduled. So far, the consensus is to abandon the Mt. Shasta idea, and go for the south central coast. This was a location that I had in mind for 2005, so we can just move it up one year. So much for our big 2004 west coast 20th anniversary.
It looks like that trip to Cambria might be a scouting trip for a show location. I'd suggest the following places for a show:
Cambria San Luis Obispo Solvang (this was my original idea) Santa Barbara Ventura
In any case, we can have a nice get together some time in the next month or so near Cambria. Songman, maybe you and I can work on planning this?

Go ahead and send me those pictures, Curley. I'll be glad to post them...
John, you know me, I'm always up for a road trip. I know the area over there pretty well from frequent visits.
As far as more Southern cities like Ventura and Santa Barbara... I'd rather see it farther up the coast. Those cities are nice and all but they are just that - cities. I like the more scenic areas better for gatherings. There are already some shows in Ventura I know though.

OK, we'll take the lead on this. I'm sure we can put together something fun.

Not too far north, so the L.A. people will show up.
Not too close to a coastal area that gets lots of fog (everyone remember San Leandro?). Not only can it be cold and breezy, but also the moisture makes it tough to clean a polish your car.
Not too expensive an area (Santa Barbara may be)
I liked Solvang because it is unique. Santa Barbara is a very pretty place, and has lots of hotels and motels, but they are likely more expensive than a smaller town.
Cambria would be cheaper, but might be too "marine"
I don't know much about San Luis Opispo. I've driven through, and it seems nice.
I think we need more discussion. I'm going to run this past the WestFest organizers and my club meeting is tonight, I'll get some opinions there.
There is one thing I can say for sure - there will be a WestFest 2004. The money is already there, and we are willing and able to do it.
