That is the only thing I could think of to be able to have that much rust in the engine. I backed off the deal because of that. His mom and dad were very nice good people. I had a good visit with them but only walked away with a GT emblem. $10.00 I did look at some other Fiero's in Galesburg and wanted one that was a owned by a friend of Soapers but he never got back with me on it. A black 88 with a bad head gasket.??? I'll be in Galesburg next week and I can drive by and see if the car is there. His folks wanted him to get ride of the car. I think soaper got the money spent, it and didn't have the money left to ship the parts. Nor does he have the tools or the know how to pull an engine. Before he put his car up for sale, I told him I had a 2.8 he could have if he wanted to pull it and put in his 88. He wanted me to pull it or he would come to my place and help me pull it. That was not an option so after that he put the car up for sale.

Either way, he could at least tell us why he is not shipping the parts we sent money for. I really dont care if he has any idea on how to pull parts or anything else. He said he had these parts and would ship them, if he can't pull them, then he can't part out the car and should have sold it as a whole.

I don't believe that, not for a minute. He said three weeks ago, they were shipped out. I had to hunt him down on IM, where he used to frequent. And before that he asked me for more money to ship them out. And before that, he told me he shipped them out. And before that he said they got returned to him(more bs). And before that...yeah you get the point.

I do appreciate you getting in contact with him Loki. I just don't believe I will ever see the taillights. I have always been polite with him, even in my "ATTN: SOAPER" thread, i just wanted to know what was going with them....apparently nothing.

Exactly how I feel. Im just disturbed our own PFFer can't come through with what he said. If he can't pull the parts he should have told us or at least had someone that could help him before he started receiving money for parts that he can't even remove himself. I can't remove everything off of a Fiero but if I want to sell something I at least have someone ready to help me remove it if I am not fully capable. Its just sad he can't let us know this and not take money for stuff he can't ship.

Nothing to do with this thread, but out of interest, how do you pronounce your last name Amir? I simply want to know because I have no idea how to pronounce it, and it's nice nowing how to pronounce some letter combinations from other countries.

Also, glad that Soaper is coming through.

I don't know Darkrain, that's a good question. Let me try, I think it is pronounced: (Fair-a-pon-ee). Amir am I close or did I butcher it? The J is silent correct? Jason

THanks for the invite Soaper. I'll be in town tomorrow for a shot time on buisness and won't have the time. I also want to go look at a white GT while I'm in town. But I will need to get back to the shop.
It's great you got back with everyone.
Way to go Soaper.

Soaper, what do you want for what's left of the car? I did drive by Friday and seen that the car is by the house.
I stopped at the end of your lane and talked to the guy with the red SE by the barn. He said that the car does run. It is his son’s car and he thinks the 2.8s have too much power for him and he wants to get him a truck. He was talking like he would take $300 for the car or trade for a truck. I got his number so I may call him back if I feel I need another project.

So far then $15, $60, and $30. So that's $105 so far that people have lost. Also name what part you bought from him as well.

Well I drove by his parents house today but I don't think anybody was home. The car is still sitting in the same spot it was this summer when I approched him about pulling the cradle. Even back then he said it would be pulled that week. After calling him several times and always getting the same response. "It's almost out".
I never gave him any money thank God but it's very frustrating when you have a 3800SC and 4 speed automatic sitting in your garage waiting for the cradle!!!! I'm not sure if he has the expertise or the tools to tear this thing apart. I even told him I would come help pull the cradle but he was assuring me that it would be out and that was at least two weeks ago. Soaper, you need to make it right for everyone and it needs to be done now!!!!!!

Just a FYI. I talked to soaper yesterday (I think) on yahoo and he said his friend is in the hospital and he's having a hard time dealing with it. And he got kind of pissed at me for asking why the parts haven't gone out yet.
Take that with a grain of salt. I can't say that I believe him or not, but I haven't bought anything from him so I'll leave it at that.
