Have seen some threads on here about people getting ripped off when they buy parts from someone on PFF. I guess it's always a risk when you send money to someone you don't know very well. There's always people who don't come thru on their end.
I recently bought parts for my car from 4 members on here:
fiero67 fierobrian sardonyx247 Brian Lamberts
They all came thru with their parts and were very nice to deal with.
Just wanted to let everyone else know about my good experience with these individuals.
I also have had nothing but GOOD dealings here on the Forum, actually I wouldn't think twice about buying from a fellow forum member. I have also sold dozens of parts on here all with no problems.
I like to think this is the case with the vast majority of transactions on this forum. Unfortunately, we usually only get to hear about the few that go bad. Such is the nature of things, I guess. Good to hear positive comments on this subject.

Me too. Well, I haven't sold dozens, but I've sold some. And I've bought plenty and never had a problem (well, except for my wallet, but that protests whenever I buy anything).
And if you don't mind, I'd like to add some people to the list.

And the 4 guys I bought quarter panels from about 6 months ago, sorry I can't remember who you all were individually.
Anybody else I've bought stuff from, sorry I don't remember, shoot me a PM 'cuz I know you deserve to have your name up here, I haven't had a bad deal yet.
I agree, I think most of the dealings go well. It's the fact that the only threads we ever see are about bad ones. But the fact is there aren't that many bad people here...most are good honest people.
I say, if you've had good dealings with someone, post it in here. It makes people more confident when they see just how many trustworthy people there are out there.

Well I don't know about others, but MinntgreenGT came though with the Ausie's side panels. Doug at Fiero Warehouse sent my spoiler on time, and Chris West @ WCF as well.
I too get nerves when the price is over $1,000 with anyone especially E-bay and paypal. There are more crooks there than anywhere else. Good luck buying parts from those memebers. Use a Visa with busnisess that way "visa" can go after them.
For small time crooks on PFF; The solution would be to perhaps having a neutral party (trusty person) to hold items until both the money and items appear? Or maybe some type of a "self destructive" device, hehe.

Am I in your good books for sending you the free print of your Fiero?

What he said. I''ve had great luck-100% positive actually, from both long time memebers and some new members. You never know over the internet, when purchasing something, but I believe this group is way above the rest of society in terms of integrity on the whole.
Edit: I want to add something: That impeccable integrity extends past international borders. Canadians have been very understanding with us Americans and our local currency or domestic money orders. Remember-'International money orders' when buying outside the US!!

I have had a bad experience with buying stuff from people on the forum. On one such instance, I lost about 400 dollars from some dirtbag in Indianna. What a crook.
However, I just finnished a deal with klingonfiero who was really nice to deal with and kept good communication. Thumbs up to you Don!

He's not from around my area is he? I'll get your money back. This could be a good business, people could pay me....say 20% of what I'm supposed to collect for them and I'll do just that...collect...

Well, I've done business with a number of PFF members and have never had a problem. Here's a list (as many as I can think of right now) who I've either bought from or sold to in the past few years:
AusFiero rockcrawl Fierochic88 Ferrari_momo/Fibersmith coolcat Songman Doni Hagan sluppy123 jch82 Madcurl SmooothGT 80's Boy Kmunson56 Rodney Dickman ...and I know there are more, I just can't always remember them!
I've also been very fortunate in my dealings with PFF members. I've bought quite a few things through the forum...usually small dollar items, but a month or so ago, I bought a set of Fiero Store Sprint Manifolds from MooCow. Needless to say, I was worried...it wasn't a small amount of cash. But Ken(MooCow) was more than honest, and it was a pleasure doing business with him. I've also bought 3 CD Players from Kru, and many, many small parts from many people. I find that usually, if you deal with people that have been here on the forum for a while, you're pretty safe...it's when you deal with someone that hasn't been around that long that you run into trouble. Of course, there are ALWAYS exceptions to the rule...

Ive had both bad and good, with good being the large majority. A couple though still owe me for parts from over 2 years ago. I wont send parts anymore till i got cash in my hand, even though I used to all the time. I still prefer you come here, bring cash, and I hand you the parts.

Ive had a few bad dealings on here, but I called them on it and no money was exchanged, thank goodness.
ditch: thank you and by the way...the stuff I sent you.....was o.k. yes? Glad to know you got it ;-)
I can spend a very long time writing all the names of the people I had good dealings with. most of my purchases and selling is here as well., because I know it will be posted if I or anyone screws with people of this forum...I like it that way.
It allways a few that screw things up.I've bought cars , parts and made many friends on this forum. We will allways post when someone rips us off but we sometimes forget to say thanks. TO THE FEW ,sell parts elsewhere. To the many ,thanks for the parts. Dean Caprio

I've bought items from members here - and quite a few items from sellers on Ebay. In almost every case, the transaction was smooth and I was happy with the item I recieved and the price I paid.
Have there been problems? Yup, there's been a few - but I have never lost a dime on any of these transactions.
Would I buy online again? Depends on what's being sold and the price...

Now this is a nice change from the usual stories about dealing with fellow forum members. I have never personally bought anything off a fellow member and wouldn't even have to think twice about purchasing something from someone who is a member of this ever growing Fiero family. Great post ditch...you get a big thumbs up from me.

that's what's great about this thread....look at all the good experiences people have had....look at all the trustworthy people...just goes to prove that this forum is full of great people....sure there is that .01% of people that are a problem, but the other 99.9% are great people.
The fact is...an overwhelming majority of the members on here are great people.
I, like everyone, read threads about the bad sellers. I am 100% for user’s right to post such information, and I encourage people to post when they are screwed by a seller. This lets the rest of us know what is going in.
Mineralman ended up selling me an engine with SERIOUS problems, told me it was "perfect condition". It was being sent to me in 100% working order, everything painted and looking brand new. New distributor, wires, plugs, freshly painted, basically show room quality. His Picture.
What I got was an engine that had: *paint over rust, oil, dirt, etc *Paint came off of engine *Regular paint on exhaust (no high-temp) *Painted O2 Sensor, inside throttle body, inside coolant system (didn't tape anything off) *Bad oil pump *Bad oil pan gasket *Bad water pump (threads/heads stripped on bolts) *Bad valve cover gaskets *Bad EGR Valve *Bad EGR Solenoid *Bad Throttle Position Sensor *TOTALLY rusted, and busted, Distributor assembly (promised a BRAND NEW one) *Bad rear main seal *he over-torqued the exhaust header bolts (distorted the threads in the heads) *Exhaust headers were all busted up *Never received the GT exhaust system he promised
He had a getrag that he was selling with it. I told him I didn't want it, but he insisted it came with the engine, he said it was from a Fiero and in PERFECT condition. It was not. It was damaged horribly and was out of a berretta. He ended up putting a 4 speed, the 'get-rag', and a 4 speed flywheel on the crate. The shipping cost was SUPPOSE to be $300. Since he put on so much extra weight (he didn't even drain the fluids from the engine OR transmissions) I ended up getting shafted for nearly $600 on shipping.
By the time I was done, this "$850.00 PERFECT engine" ran me well over $1500. I sent this guy emails and PMs. He never responded and I haven't seen him on this board since.

It's always good to research your sellers! I've gotten plenty of threads about my selling 123

I'd like to thank 007Doug Doug a fellow West Virginian at www.fierowarehouse.com 2m4 Dale Dale VP of CFOG-I www.cfog-i.com M0sh_Man Matt my next door Fiero compadre FieroGTGuy Greg helping me with parts Oreif Door tabs and items traded to him Cliff the Fiero Keychain!!! Who did I forget? I'd like to thank everyone who's bought and sold me items. It's really a great way to keep the money spent in the car that we all truely love. I also like to help fix Fieros that need help with parts. So if you need anything ask away. Matt Jackson
my good expieriances are from Earl R. Azareal, ig88vsbobafett darangedsheep
i know there is lots more but im having a brain fart at the moment if ive bought somthing from you and you remember what it was PLEAS LMK and ill give you recognition for it
bad: Smoooooth still owes me my $60 or my package
and not bad, but... Bosuch took about a month to come through with shipping me an innerfenderwell and it was missing the mounting rivits that i specificly requested with the inner fender well
I've had nothing but good transactions from the Forum. I've never been stiffed; the prices have been fair, the packaging has been well done, and the shipping prompt. I think the key is to get to know and be known on the Board. You get a feel for the relative integrity of the members, in my estimation. b

I've had nothing but good experiences dealing with fellow members. I parted out a car a while back and at first I was asking for payment before shipping to make sure I at least had money in hand for shipping but eventually it got to the point where I'd just go ahead and ship knowing the guys were good for it. Anyone that is "hard" to deal with usually gets exposed pretty quickly (LOL)! I'd have to say 99.999% of the people on the forum are the "real deal"!
A list of guys that have helped me out not only with parts but also invaluable tech data, I wouldn't know where to start.
I'll just say thanks to everyone on the forum for making this the great place that it is!
I have a lot of great Dealings, with the following people off the top of my head.
litespd bruce Coolkat Rborecky Sherman peabody
In fact the worst dealing I have had (and it's not really bad) was someone that was buying a front license plate holder from me, She claimed to have sent a check (i never got) so I never shipped, Only thing lost here was a few months holding this item before selling to someone else. And I'm sure Rborecky is enjoying it much more.
from my previous dealings on this board I wouldn't hesitate dealing with anyone from here (I look at post count to decied if thier a regular or not), and I treat them like I want to be treated.

I have generally had good dealings on PFF. I know I have been slow to ship things at times when I sell. I can't begin to name the people I've bought from/sold to, all I remember are the names of people who have burned me.
I have been burned by several people that have been mentioned in numerous "good seller" lists on this thread. Losses for me from them range from $5 to almost $90.
