I don't care at all about a stupid "Rice"debate....Other parts on my car are made completely from scratch, from my own ideas....maybe people will talk "(N/R)ice"about these mods ... But after all it is ME who decides how the car will look like untill I am finally happy with it...

And I am getting more happy every....euh...year!

A Fiero is one of a few cars that can be modified in any way you like...: engine, suspension, interior, body...you can do cheap mods or high-end upgrades, whatever you want or whatever you can pay...

Calling "Rice" is the cheapest upgrade for jealous people.

Yah, Fie Ro your car is crazy. You made all the stuff yourself and you did a very professional looking job where everything looks like it goes together.

I dont want to start a rice debate, I just hate when people are hypocrits and say totally different things as I pointed out in my previous post.

Rice comments aside. I think they look good w/ the M3 style skirts. Minn I think your car looks very nice "but" the rear bumper cover doesnt really match the new lines. What do you have planned, if anything to get it low enough to even out?

I think what we have here is a guy who can't afford to do these things to his notchie tri-color 4-cyler automatic. (try to envision a warped center console leaky sunroof, crank windows and seat covers.)

I don't have the cash to do this stuff either, I'm scraping to put a 4.5 in this spring. The difference is that i respect the work you guys go through to get your cars looking like this, and I'm not jealous. Sometimes it's easier to cry about it though.

OK People...i'm gonna throw my hat into the ring...

An import car can be a pretty nice car. You can upgrade the body, make it look to how you like it, add some wheels, add a cold air intake, nice sounding exhaust, strut bar, rear sway bar, a nice sounding stereo...and they are happy with their car...in my opinion, this is not rice - they've customized their car to how THEY like it...it performs to what THEY want out of the car, it looks good to THEM...

ANY car can be "rice". You've got the guys in the sunfires that think they're hot **** just because they bought the GT model...they've put in the type R floor mats, Fast and Furious seat covers, walmart stereo, BIG fart can exhaust, etc... This is rice...because they're trying to look good and look cool to OTHER people and they're looking for attention from OTHER people...

Fiero's are no different than other cars when it comes to this...a guy that does an engine swap, throws on a wing, chin spoiler, nice rims, rear sway bar...they've now got a nice lookin car...and it performs to how THEY want it to. I know a guy with a shitty 84 2m4 that has *wait for it* type R floor mats, in-car neon's, etc etc...he bags the piss out of that car and hes gonna hurt some day because of it...

So people, the ricers are the ones that think they're hot **** for not having dick all...the good people that customize their cars for themselves (and others at shows, whatever) are not ricers...They could put in one of those junky aluminum wings and if it looks good to them, good for them! they've spent their money well!!!

My main point is that attention seekers usually have ricers. People that take pride in their car and care about how it looks, arent. They're the Ski-times, the Minngreens, the Smooth (ok, some pppl disagree but i dont care)...

I just bought a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer ES. It's an auto, it's a slow car compared to a lot of others. Would you call this rice? I sure hope not, because I dont think of it being anything other than a regular family car. Sure, I'm putting a big stereo in it, and I'm customizing it a bit, but is it rice? Will it be rice? no! I work at an independant, hifi stereo store...We need a demo car, so my car will LOOK decently..will it perform like a Imprezza WRX STi? Hell no, but it will perform to how I like...I want a car that is OK on an autocross circuit, that's fun to drive and that looks pretty good...That's not rice because I'm doing it for ME, not YOU.

Like's been said before, **** the naysayers, you do to your car what YOU want to do...not what THEY think is rice, or what they think is gay...

Another thing is - I've seen some people call a 1000HP supra rice - It's a V6! It's got 2 Turbo's! It's got Nitrous! There's a couple people on here that have that (ok, so maybe single turbo but my point still stands) in their cars...For ****s Sakes people...get a life...

In closing, I'm selling my fiero...so do I really care what you guys think of this post? Yeah...so dont bash me to bad...

But those people who call "rice" in 80% of the threads on this board were probably made fun of for half their life and feel cool if they do that to others...to you ppl, i say **** off and go eat a dick..

I hope all these swears get sensored

OK...Peace. I'm out.

Up until the 1st part of this week, I was "discussing" these topics with gibbs via PM (he at least figured out that calling me names off-forum wouldn't earn him any additional ratings ). And he's finally dropped the argument... finally!
