Well we're finally back from Daytona!! What a trip! We had a wonderful time. It was great to put some of the PFF handles to faces...we had to scoot out on Sunday and head to Jacksonville to visit an old Navy buddy, and then Monday the Rat got carted to Clearwater (Near Tampa) for another mod. I was told I'd have it back by mid April so I'll have it with me for the Toney swap meet for those interested...I'm including a little hint on what’s to come...

The cars out there this year were great! From the Blue Piranha to B&B's custom and everything in between - just beautiful!!

Yeah, and Archie was raking in the raffles this year!

Was a shame that Madcurl didn't have his ride - I was really looking forward to seeing it but I got the next best thing - to meet him in person. Great guy! Rock on dude.

I have about 100 or so pics from the show that I will post on my website and post the link in this thread. It was a great time and we hope to do it again next year!!

Now to a few pics...

The Rat where it felt at home...on the track. I was surprised I didn't get any greif for the 100 MPH run to the picture booth..hehehe

The arrival...

Tucked in and kissed goodbye for a few weeks...

Figure it out yet?

Can't wait to make it back!

And I can't resist - The man behind the Silver Choptop - MadCurl himself!

Thanks all for a great time!! Keep on keepin on and make sure to do it in a - Fiero!!

Rob D.

Yeah, I've seen some of bill's work in person, and he does great things.

As good as that thing looks, and you're gonna cut the chop-top off for a rag-top?

Personally, I'd prefer the chop-top over the convertable.

Oh that would be insanely cool!! I'd probably look like Rat Fink in that car with a targa top - with my head sticking up above the winshield.

Well lets see, he isn’t going to use that nice CF head liner because something came up.
I would say a Targa Top would be a good guess.

Naah, I can't imagine that he would go thru all of that to trade that Fiero limo in to have it chopped only to then turn around and have that taken off for a convertable. As he stated that it would be a first for a chop top, it can't be a convertable then. I agree with it either being a T-Top conversion or a much more logical guess when it comes to Rob, a Targa top

I know the modification and have looked at doing the same thing to my car. However, he is delivering rims/tires to me in a couple of weeks so I will keep quiet. I hope to inspect the car in Tony in a few weeks and see how it might look on my 88 Mera.
