TM Fiero's numbers add up to 5639 cars built. I had aways heard the 5484 number as being official, but who knows. Check me off the list as owning another of the 567 Medium Red Metallic cars.

According to my bible (the Fiero Spotters Guide by Mark Corbin) there were 5,643 Formulas built, but even Mark admits that exact production numbers are a matter of some debate.

You can mark down one of the Red ones to the conversion group. We had a bright Red Formula that is now a Modena Yellow Formula front and GT back with a 4.9 Caddy pushing it.

When you consider the number of combinations of options and colors while not inifnite, it's probably more than the number of Formulas built meaning that nearly every Formula is unique in some way. Although this may be less true on the Formula than most Fieros because Formulas were typically lightly optioned.
