You people do realize that out of thousands of members on here that there are not really that many who actually keep one thread going on every time they post new things, right? Of course part of the reason could be ther same reason we didn't, because if you don't post on it for awhile it gets archived. I think even Skitimes build up thread and Monza76's among many others are now all archived. Kinda tough to post continued pics when your original thread got archived. Know what I mean?

Thanks Minn for proving my point. So out of how many registered members? we have a whopping 4 threads so far that have been able to stay current for that subject. Lets see... that percentage of continued threads vs new threads is how much?
I'm pretty certain that you're either totally missing the point of a number of these posts - or you're knowingly avoiding them...

Hey, nothing like dodging the point. But since you brought those up. Doubt min was searching for more than a few minutes. The old thread wouldn't have been archived if you continued it and had not started others.

Heh heh, yeah Soup, nice twisting of the facts. Thats it, everyone who posts in someone elses thread is stalking them. How did we ever survive on this forum before all of you witty members is beyond me. Oh, and I take it that response would be a bump from you then?
How was that witty? How was that twisting the facts? Is that not true? Is his posting in your threads no more him stalking you than anyone else posting in numerous posts? Just because he doesnt post nice things, and his name sticks out more than others, doesnt change the fact.
A bump from me? What??? Imagine that, I brought a thread back up to the top of the thread list. hrmmm.. what ever will I do.

Blah THIS THREAD IS STILL GOING ???? ok this is my input on this whole thing it appears Fiero 5 has gotten some negetive feedback on what ppl thought of his or jordons car.... No matter were you go your going to get ppl who don't like the taste of your car or ppl who flat out don't like it.... My saying to that is LIVE WITH IT IT'S THE PART OF LIFE just because someone doesn't like yours or jordon's taste in style does not make them bad or a butthole nor do they deserve a negative rating because of there opinion.
Some might be more upfront than other's but I rather for someone to tell me the opinion of my design or style upfront then sitting there kissing my behind then laughing at me when I turn my back. Me myself I think the car has went a long way from what it used to be..... And you have my thumbs up on that and spending time with your son I think that's the coolest thing to do for your kid. I still think a GT spoiler would look better but the one you have looks alot better than the old stock spoiler you used to have on it... I also think it can do without all the stickers and neons it would make the car look a whole lot better In my opinion.
Anyway this is the first taste of reality when jordan actually starts driving the car he's going to get ppl who A: Loves the car B: ppl who hates it c: ppl who's very upfront and probally will result in getting his feeling hurt. That is part of life.
Just imagine (Just a example don't take this the wrong way) If I painted my car say like pink and had the hood painted with dragon ball Z and decide to put vegeta stickers on the door skins (I like the taste and cartoon alot) But do you think 1) everyone will love my car.... I know I love it 2.) I would get negative feedback on my design) 3) laughed off the forum
The answer to that would be all 3....

Yeah, I just realised how pathetic and childish it is that I am still posting about this. Too bad after all of us posting, Steve didn't get a thing out of it.

Listen, I don't mind it at all when someone that may not like the style or the car in general and nicely says it like this:
quote
It IS extreme, though... :P
quote
I would not do it... but I RESPECT it and it's unique style...
quote
I think you guys are having fun and building a very unique car. Not my cup of tea. but very nice!
quote
For what its worth youre car is perfectly fine with me Dare to be different!
However, do you really feel these are truly appropriate or really necessary?:
quote
It's ugly. Truly ugly.. Beyond ugly, this is fugly.
quote
..gigantic radioactive booger ... ....wiping all the projectile vomit off of my keyboard). Sorry, Fiero5, but I totally hate that car...
quote
The inside looks like a Vietnamese Discoteque. "Soldier boy, me love you long time!" But hey, it could have wound up just another unloved transportation appliance, or worse yet a lawn ornement.
quote
Sometimes I wonder if it is actually you or Jordan posting because you treat it like a school yard arguement. When are you going to start pulling hair?
So what we have all learned here is that there are some people that like the car, some that have stated intelligently that it is not their style and some who don't like it at all, which is of course ok too. Sadly, we have seen some as well who have shown us once again that they just don't have a clue how to behave on a public forum. Some of us were also shocked by the sad posting of questionable comments by a few members who we view as highly valued members on this forum. That was very sad to see and hopefully won't be a trend that will continue for them. As for this Fiero, to each his own folks. You know what? We are not building this Fiero for anyones approval but our own. If you simply don't like it and it gives you mental convulsions then that's just too bad Sadly though, some felt that they just had to click reply and post a bunch of BS on here ruining and hijacking the thread in the process, so we won't be posting pics or anything more in this thread. So those of you feel compelled to keep posting unecessary comments in here, go right ahead as it has since gotten ruined anyway. Nice job!
Hey Cliff, is there anyway of getting an archived thread active again? I would love to keep adding to the original thread we started, and it sounds like others would like that as well. Over the late fall and thru the winter we hadn't really done anything on it so it got archived before we could bump it with anything new

Well, someone said above that they would rather have people be honest instead of kissing their butt and laughing behind their back. I agree with this totally Steve, and I think that is one you can teach your kid to take to the bank from this day forward.
I think it's great you are living your life through your child using his ideas. But the fact about censorship is that Jordan is in for a dose of tear-jerking reality the first time he rolls this thing into his high school parking lot.
What do you think people will be driving 6 or 8 years from now ? What I think will probably happen in real life when he starts driving it is someone will more than likely A) vandalize the car or B) steal it and strip it. It's just a Fiero for God's sakes leave it alone. PLEASE STEP AWAY FROM THE J.C. WHITNEY CATALOG !!
PLUS it is going to be very hard to keep tabs on a daily driver calling that much attention to itself without asking for trouble. It is your job to prepare your child for the REAL WORLD instead of making him think everyone on earth loves his car because we all know it goes both ways.
That's about the most politically correct reply I could squeeze out without going off on this car and its owner and his son.

I mean, I know these cars are our hobbies, our work for some, and inspiration for others, but when did a discussion over personal taste in modifying a car turn into people telling someone how they should raise thier son??
I have a 2 year old, and he loves my fiero. He loves the fast and the furious movies and 90% of his 230 1/64th scale cars are of the tuner variety. Building a car with your son is a great way to bond with them, and for them to learn valuable lessons about life.
I think that telling your son to not have what he wants because people are not going to like or understand it (Adam Sandler reference-THEY"RE ALL GONNA LAUGH AT YOU!) is a pretty $#!tty way to bring up a child. So, basically, prepare your child to be scared and to go along with popular opinion, because it's easier than living your own life and being an individual.
For gods sake people, we drive fieros, who among us can cast stones at someone for wanting to be different?? And as for thinking that he is going to be stuck with something that is out of style to some of us now, being obscenely out of style in six years when he gets to drive it on his own, If they have accomplished all of this when he is ten, then what makes you think that his taste is always going to stay the same??
Most likely his taste will change some as he gets closer to high school, and if he does, he should be able to modify his car to suit his tastes, and it'll be easier the second time around due to the skills he learnt from his father by doing it now. So I wouldn't worry about him getting "laughed out of the parking lot" because chances are he'll have it exactly the way he wants it by then, and it won't matter what other people think.
Unless he lets everyone get to him when he's young.
I say paint the thing glow in the dark green, borrow a wing from a cessna and duct-tape it to the decklid. Do whatever you want, the only person you have to please is yourself. And maybe dad, if he's paying, LOL

There is alot of us who are trying to promote this Forum and threads like this just trash it up. Enough already, everyone. Steve, just let it go and get back on subject. Everyone else, you don't have to read this tread if you don't want to and you certainly don't have to post on it.

I love how some people try to justify their total crap attitudes by thinking they can hide behind a statement like it's a public forum Anyway.... Well, as this thread has become just sooo popular I will post a few daytime pics of the two installs: Enjoy
There it is.....our crap attitudes. Then you push it farther and we no longer have nighttime pics. You know, Steve, I said that I didn't think the car could get ricier, if I remember the post correctly, and that a lot of people don't respect the ricer mentality. I give an opinion, and I'm offering a crap attitude? I'm sorry you aren't man enough to handle that. I wish I could give you a few dozen negatives for your attitude. You are going to push and push as long as you can. I don't like the car, but so what? It's not my taste, but when you push that thing in front of us so much it really gets to be too much. It was nice to not have that car show up while you were visiting the 'other' Fiero website......maybe you should go back? I"m sure they loved it.......
Stop justifying your posts. I for one am sick of hearing it. I'm also starting to really feel sorry for Jordan. As mentioned earlier, he's going to get laughed out of the parking lot when he starts driving.

some of you may have noticed I stopped posting for months. I will never be convinced that it is okay to speak your opinion and defend yourself with comments like. It is a public forum, It is just my opinion, It is a free country. Yes you are right. Only hopefully Jordan will growup to respect other people wether or not he agrees with them. If I posted everything that came into my head I would be hated by most of the forum members. If I see an ugly car at a light I dont walk over and say dude that cars is the ugliest thing I have ever seen. It is disrespectful. No one respects anyone in this world and there is always some easy excuse to make it ok. I have a right to express my opinion, Its a free country, etc. The sooner people learn to respect everyone around them and learn to be accepting of others the better. I for one dont think it will ever happen. People these days dont respect themselves enough to care. Just watch Springer. This lack of respect for other people and what they hold dear is more rampant on the internet where you can remain a username and not have to face the people but it is everywhere. Maybe there are too many posts about this green car. It is not for me to decide. Put yourself in the other persons shoes before posting anything. Try to think how they might take it and either dont post or change the wording. You can express your opinion even where it isnt wanted if done correctly. It isnt the rest of the worlds job to put up with your attitude it is your job to change it..I will no go and work on my fiero which I have been keeping picture records on. I will not post them you will not see them. Lately I have decided maybe being a hermit would be better because I am so sick of people putting themselves above others. I see it at Walmart, four way stops, everywhere no one respects others anymore. It is not hard just try ok? This forum is about a car we all love. Lets get back to the subject. I think Im about done with the forum again...ramble ramble ramble

Well quit having a pity party on MY time and go stick your head back in a F'n hole then.
Okay there is one point to be made about this thread. I see people that are usually placeid chiming in about how this car has jumped on every page since day one. If this were a NEW MEMBER to PFF would they get this treatment ? No. This thread and the others like it do not portray the general feelings of PFF. If a new member posted THIS car, some might get squimish but all in all I think it would blow over.
But the point here is that this car has been shoved down our throats for a year now and even some of the most ***tolerate*** of the group seem to be getting annoyed. Maybe it's time to be proud of what you've done and just leave it at that. I doubt anyone is really following the progress of that thing anyhow.
That being said, if it ran 10's in the quarter it wouldn't matter WHAT the hell it looks like........because it can run 10's in the quarter.
But it can't, so nobody really cares. It's just rice.

Maybe there are too many posts about this green car. It is not for me to decide.
As a member of this forum, it IS partially up to you what is acceptable and what isn't. That's one of the problems with society today. No one wants to say "Hey, dude...that's unacceptable!". Back in the olden days, when I was young, you couldn't go into a store and screw off because someone would grab you and haul your misbehaven butt up to the customer service counter (or the equivelent back then) and have your parents paged or called. Now? Lawsuit! Kids tell us "You can't touch me!". What does that breed? A lack of respect. Kids can do what they want because no one (usually the parents) tells them otherwise. Then the kids get the "Who am I to tell them what to do?" attitude. Well, that's not the way it works. This forum is a group of folks that are interested in Fieros. There are a number of threads out there that are posted by members who have modified their cars, right? Lots and lots of threads. People ask opinions. People don't ask opinions....they just want to show off their car. That's the idea, and that's perfectly acceptable. Personally, there are some mods that I like, and some that I don't like. In Fiero5's case here, the car really isn't the issue. Some of us like it, and some of us don't. Doesn't matter. This thread has turned into a group of members advising Steve that they feel he's posting way too many pics of the car. Some are expressing their like or dislike for the car, but the frequency of the posting is the issue. So, your statement is incorrect. It IS up to you to help decide what's appropriate and what isn't. If everyone except me felt that the multiple posts weren't an issue, then I would back away and be quiet. But, there are several members who feel that there are too many posts about this car and they are expressing their displeasure. We have a rating system to help us express that displeasure if we want, so again, it IS for you to help decide.
I've tried to be respectful in my displeasure, but it's getting to the point where I'm not going to polite.
Mark
How many pages is Steve going to get out of THIS thread before he gets it?

I'm still mad that Jordan didn't take my "Green Goblin" Idea...
but hey its not my place.. I think for what the car is, a child's Expression of what he wants a car to look like(whatever it be!), on a Fiero Platform.. its great..
I still want to see a HOT Pink one (Because I know everyone would have a "Bowel Clearing" fit with that one)
Oh yeah and MUCH LOVE TO ALL THE FIERO BRETHREN OUT THERE!!!

YOU THINK IT IS TIME FOR THE THREAD TO DIE? Yet you bump it back to the top of the page. That does not make much sense to me....
Lex, you just did the same thing... and look, so did I
I just can't see why people get so pissed off around here when somebody does something to THEIR OWN car. It's jordan's car, not yours, your entitled to your opinion of, "I don't like it" or "I think its ugly", but people shouldnt get so pissed and be rude. Did looking at this thread have some sort of negative life altering experience? Most likely not, so who gives a sh*t.
oh and if it did affect your life in a negative way, you need help.
Lex, you just did the same thing... and look, so did I
I didn't say "let the thread die", and bump it to the top in the same breath. So no I did NOT do the "same thing".(Think before you say something stupid) If this continues then GREAT! If it dies, no big deal. I am sure Fiero5 will start another.

I love your interior, its totally awesome. Don't listen to them, my fieroGT has neon lights inside too. If . If I didn't have a GT (GT's should never be touched) I'd totally rice up the fiero like there's no tomorow, if its not a GT then rice it, mod it, kit it. The only thing I don't like is the black hood on your car (I say put a sticker on it with fast&furious logo), but the vent on it is cool.
