I heard that you can pop your headlights up without actually turning on the light? How do you do that actually. You had to push two buttons at the same time or something??? could somebody help me out? thanks

I've always popped the headlights, waited till they go all the way up, and then turned them off and turned the parking lights on really quick. the lights go off, but they stay up. that way you don't kill your battery! *grins*

Turn your lights on then using your finger nail pull the headlight switch (not parking lamp) back out by itself. They will stay up so you can clean them if need be!

haha.. On my dad's fiero, you have to actually push the off switch in a little bit to get them to go down. just hitting off won't do it. just one of those convienient screw ups i guess

Turn the parking lights on, then just barely press on the headlight portion of the switch. Not enough to actually press the switch all the way in, just enough to get the motors to turn. When they're up, release the switch. The parking lights will stay on, and the headlights will be up, but not lit.

alright thank y'all for the replies, I will try it as soon as I get back in the Netherlands. I will be over here in Oklahoma for another 2 months so I won't see my fiero for a while.
On my Fiero's I put a toggle switch in the white wire to the headlight switch. Then you can turn on th elights, shut off the toggle switch and the lights will stay up until you turn the toggle switch back on. Great fot leaving them up in winter weather so they don't freeze closed.
Another option is to to open the front compartment and turn the manual knobs up about 32,000 turns each...
I saw a tip online that worked very well. Open the hood, turn on the headlights, disconnect the headlight motor wires. On my '88GT the connectors are located just inside the motors themselves and easily accessible and easily diconnected and reconnected.
