Dude ...you Fuc*ing Ghey don't screw the thread with your idea of a joke.. I wanna see this beast come to life , not some teenie boopers idea of comedy
Everyone’s a comedian lately! No wonder I'm out of a job!
On another note..It's nice to have some suspension travel on the front end again. I forgot in the beginning of the thread I reinstalled my drop spindles and cranked my coil overs up. Before the change, the suspension was sitting on the stops. I was wondering why the ride was so rough! Duh!

Well, trunk area is complete for now (until I mount the N2O bottle. I readjusted the firing order on the distributor and set the timing on TDC. Primed the oil system...'bout killed my drill!
Checklist of things to complete:
1) Fill radiator fluid 2) Fill tranny fluid 3) Hookup one wire on the ignition 4) Hookup coil to ignition amp 5) Wire water pump. 6) Extend oil pressure sending unit wires. 7) Check, double check and triple check entire install!!! 8) Turn key! Wooohoooooo!!!
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Now, as always, the pics...
Wiring completed in the trunk.
Control unit plug. I plan on running one into the car as well so I can tweak it from either location. But, to speed things up, this will be the only one for now.
Carpet installed. Notice the indent where my MSD 6AL ignition box used to be! Elvira and I will swap carpets since she now owns the 6AL.
Here's a shot of the controller. I got this setup because you don't need a laptop to tweak it!
Ignition amp mounted. I used some existing mounting points because this ignition amp is a temp. I have a Mallory unit with nitrous switch built it that will replace this eventually.
And the finishing touch on the valve cover - the breather...

Its been so long you might want to add slow charge your battery to the list
Funny that you mention that, I just hooked up the electric for the first time in 1.5 years...No smoke!! Fuel injection systems comes up fine! Battery is a deep cycle Rockford Fosgate. She's been sitting for 2 years and is fresh as can be...

Holy crap. I was so excited I posted in the wrong thread. Here's the results of todays work:
OH MY GOD!!!!!! SHE'S ALIVE!!!!! We had a little snag with the fuel lines. Got the feed and return backwards!!! Duh!!! OH MY GOD!!! Did I say OH MY GOD!!! This car sounds freaking AWESOME!!! The cam gives it just enough roughness to the idle. It's not even timed yet and it sounds sooooo nice! I got a video of the occasion that I will post on my website. Stay tuned for the post. I'll do it now. Should take less then half hour. I'm a HAPPY CAMPER!!!!!

Well, all in all things went well last night...except for the alt belt I shredded. Off to get a replacement this morning. I'm assuming that the belt was loose, got the alt pulley hot, then when I turned it off it melted the belt and when I fired it up later that evening to show a bud, the thing said bye bye...No biggie. Also have to tighten one fitting and find out why the fan's not working.
All in all I'm a FAT CAT WITH A PHAT RAT!
I should have it street worthy in a few days.
I gotta say that with just the flowmaster, this car sounds EVIL! Hope the local donut chokers don't hassle me too much!

That's AWESOME Rob!! But you aint seen nothin' yet, wait until you drive it. You won't believe it! You might want to get a nice chrome plated dustpan to pick up peoples jaws from the ground after you pop the decklid. ;=)
Excellent job.

Well, got the belt changed and moved the beast on its own power out of the garage. Found that I have no brakes. No vacuum at the booster. Will have to check that and a couple of other minor things. I also found that everything fits UNDER THE DECKLID! I'm a happy camper. Looks like I'll trailer the Rat to the NEFA show. Can't really drive it any distance till I get the tips and alignment done.

Awesome news dude!!! I bet you must've creamed yourself when you first started it up, I know I would have. I'm downloading the vids now, can't wait to see/hear it! Keep us updated with how things go after getting it running...I know it'll be hard to get you out of the garage and onto the comp now that it's running.
