I have some friends with sports cars who would be up for a spirited drive through the hills. No ones going to mind a Dodge Stealth and a Subaru WRX tagging along, right This is gonna be a good time. Too bad its 5 and a half months off
Edit for typo.

I guess it doesn't say Fiero in the name so you never can tell what might show up. I always encourage Fiero owner's whose cars are not running for whatever reason to show up in whatever vehicle they can as long as they show up! Never thought about inviting non-Fiero owners to bring other vehicles but you never can tell, they just might be converted.

Right! Just think of them as Fiero-less Maybe someone with a V8 conversion will show up and I can use that the help pursuade them Plus, then I can pick that persons brain for ideas when doing my V8 in the summer. Actually, the guy with the Stealth wants to trade up to a Firebird Trans Am this year, and the WRX guy isn't buying the car till Feb. and is torn between it and a Trans Am, so ya never know. We may be keepin it in the Pontiac family after all.

As far as non Fieros attending, as long as people are interested in our cars they are welcome. They might get a little bored hearing people gabbing about Fiero minutae and trivia, hell, I even get bored with that sometimes, but a good time should be had by all.
I went to check out the San Juan Inn. Thanks for the link, fierobear. This place should be perfect. All rooms will be $79 if you mention the Stillwell group, and have mini-fridges, microwave ovens, coffee makers, and cable TV. There is a pool and spa, and a meeting room with outdoor barbecue pit. The management is very car-group friendly. Make your reservations soon!

i'm saving up money for the 5 speed. as soon as i got back from that coast trip i pulled the exhaust manifolds off and ported them with a dremel. very easy to do, and as of yesterday i have no cat. because it was going to pot. Now the fiero sounds loud as hell with that flowmaster.

This is only my second time on the forum since Songman's great coast run last fall, but I've made our reservations for this one and look forward to seeing you all there!

So did I kill this thing, or what?!! Any info on Saturday night yet?
I don't know that I understand the question. Yes, we are still definately on for May 1. We will gather in San Juan Bautista in the morning with plans to head out on the road after lunch. I am negotiating with the San Juan Inn to allow us to stage our vehicles in their parking lot, as parking can get pretty restricted in SJB on the weekends. Feel free to sightsee in the morning and enjoy lunch in any one of the towns restaurants. The cuisine is pretty varied, from American style to German to Basque, and of course, several Mexican restaurants. The trip down 25 to greenfield took me about an hour really cooking. I forsee about 1.5-2 hours for everyone to make it to the end. At that point, we can decide if we want to turn around and do the same road in reverse, cut over to 101 and take the quick (30 min) route back to SJB, or cut over to Carmel Valley Road and come back north on that. I estimate that route adding another2.5 to 3 hours to get a group through. Once we get back to SJB, we'll have dinner together at El Jardins de San Juan, nice Mexican food outdoors in a a courtyard garden. Adult beverages are sure to flow, and the hotel is just a few blocks away to allow festivities without the need to drive under the influence.
I certainly am getting excited about this run, just 6 weeks away! The hills that so quickly turn brown in the summer are bright green, and the wildflowers are starting to bloom. This is about the best time ever to see this area. I hope that everyone in California can make it, and I would love to see some out of state people as well. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call me at 831-206-5024.
PS! Very important! Highway 25 is a cellular dead zone, and cell phones will not work at all in that area. For that reason, and in order to help coordinate an enjoyab;e trip for everyone I urge everyone to purchase FRS or GMRS radios. I also strongly advise that you make sure that your vehicle is in good mechanical condition, including tires.

I was just being sarcastic, stimpy! There had been lots of discussion and posts every day or two until I posted, and all of a sudden there wasn't anything else for 3 or 4 wks! I use deoderant, I wondered what happened! Ha! So I'm okay with my reservation at San Juan Bautista Inn for Saturday night? Fierobear thought maybe we were going to end up in Carmel/Monterey area Saturday night. Carmel Valley Rd. to Laureles Grade coming out on Hwy. 68 by Laguna Seca would be a good loop, but return on 25 would be good too if it didn't take too long--you always see it differently going the other way. Looking forward to getting together

No on Saturday night in Carmel. From Laguna Seca where Lauraless Grade comes out back to SJB is only about 40 minutes, and Carmel is prohibitively expensive with rooms being at least $160 a night, parking damn near impossible, and very congested on weekends. Whatever route we finally work out will wind up back in SJB. Of course, this being a free country if someone elects to stay out in Carmel or Monterey, that's their call, but I'll be drinking margaritas in San Juan Bautista!

Hope this gets seen by everyone. The main drag of the town is The Alameda, which crosses Hwy 152. The town itself is north of 152, the Inn is on the south east corner of The Alameda and 152.

I got to the motel this afternoon. The Alameda is only a few blocks long, and turns into Second or Third street near the Mission. Your best bet is to take 101 to 156 "San Juan Bautista" exit. Go about 2.5 miles, and turn right at "The Alameda". The motel is right there, on your left.
If you get lost, call me at (510) 366-1305.
The weather is great. Warm, with a slight breeze. I've tested the jacuzzi and recliner chairs at the pool, and they work great. I hope to see you all here tonight or tomorrow.
Me too, but having a fun time with the relatives. Will be at the Winchester Mystery House while you all are out cruising. Will hope to see you all at Sears Point in June I guess. JC
Couldn't finish this contract in time. I was determined to finish Friday but I still have a full day of work ahead. No finish, no pay.. I guess I'll have to shoot for the next event too.
