Yeah, ...I am alright. Although given the choice and as awful as it sounds, I'd rather have a broken leg than this.
The engine is fine, looks like the harmonic balancer got shoved in for a spit second at the time of the impact by the body panel. The belt took a little beating because of it, but mainly damage to the side.
Fix or repair daily........oh hang on that's Ford. It will be repaired. Had a frame guy and a body guy over this afternoon.
Overall opinion was ... the "Chrome Show bar saved the car from being called a "Total".
Either way it's going to be a long recovery. Couple of hours on a frame rack, damaged metal is going to have to be removed, same size cut of a donor, door replaced, and quarter panel repaired. And then paint. Just when I thought I was getting close to black in the checkbook.

BTW I have plenty of doors....................or even a donor chassis
Already got a donor at the body shop waiting to donate. Door too.
BUT what I really could use is a good 84 style rocker panel, interior side panel (with the speaker hole) and a passenger side skin (87) and the ribbed molding to go with it.
Got any of those, perhaps ?

Tina, as bad as it looks, and as much as it bothers you, "The Curse" can be repaired, as you've already found out. The main thing is that YOU are okay. Glad to hear that you ARE...gives you time to put out a hit on that old lady in the Saturn. Kevin isn't doing anything else constructive, and could use a few bucks...I suggest you contact him..

... What did the old lady have to say about the accident?
Actually I only later found out that she wasn't that "old" of a lady afterall. (Born in 1950) Thankfully my friends spared no effort to keep me far away from her. Nothing worse than having a pi$$ed of german blonde going off on you. Which in hind sight (sp) wasn't a bad idea ... I guess.

I couldn't agree more. Fiero owners and of course Cliff are truely one of a kind.
Tina On a side note ..my little 3 footer (6 year old son) just carried down his piggy bank and just handed to me. What a guy.
What about your 6 footer? Did he offer to give up his allowance???
Glad to hear that you are ok. One of my co-workers got T-boned today in his Firebirdy by a Ford Econoline van. He is a pretty "hardcore" guy, but he was really, really shaken by the whole thing. I know that you will fix it right, and I can't wait to see it back on the road.

OMG, that is GHEY. GEEZ, old people behind the wheel not always a good thing.
Sweety, I'm sure you'll have your baby done and in top shape by the Dell's, at least come to the MN spring kick-off so I can give you a "it will be ok" hug.
It seems you came out "better" than worse on the damage so that's good. Also, you have a good man to help you with the beast (or is he only an engine kind of guy? )

From what I was told yesterday, it "the Chrome Show bar" saved the car from anymore damage than it recieved by strengthening the area.
Sorry to hear about your mishap. I've enjoyed watching your progress over the years and am glad to hear you're getting it repaired right away. Good luck and I hope you'll be driving your sweet V8 soon.
